quite a few vegan options all clearly labeled, which is pretty surprising to see in Malta:) all I’ve tested was v decent, horribly long waiting time

Thank you Rav for appreciating our efforts in offering vegan food as you said it's a rarity in Malta. yes, good food takes time especially when utilising fresh vegan produce and not processed meat like vegan stuff!

Good food - Edit
The wild mushroom risotto was good but could use something to add more creaminess. Make sure specify that you’re vegan even if it’s written in the menu.

Helpful staff - Edit
We had vegetable soup with bread and vegetable stew which was served with couscous and houmous . The food is cooked to order and the waiter explained that most can be adapted for vegans or vegetarians by removing cheese etc. #Veganuary

Simple but great flavours - Edit
A nice spot in city centre, offering actual vegan food, no taste of type of food, just pure plant based and aromatic. Servers also go the extra mile to explain which other dishes can be vegan by just removing some ingredients.

Vegan option not vegan and not eatable - Edit
I had the "Mediterranean Flavours" which is supped to be Falafel, Vegetables, Couscous, and - although clearly marked as vegan - with yoghurt, which could be removed from the order at least. I got two Falafels which were not tasty at all and a lot of vegetables that were mainly half raw but also partially burned. The chickpeas in the couscous were dry and hard. I actually forced myself to eat half the plate because I was so hungry and then stopped eating, and I usually don't waste any food... Had an apple from my backpack later then to stop being hangry.

Cons: Food with yoghurt (in the text) marked as vegan, Food not eatable , 🫤🫤🫤

Yea at Roza you will not find vegan cheese or vegan meat! Only plant based real food as veganism should be non artificial things!
Read moreWas the veg a bit raw? could be, if one addresses the issues we are happy to change or cook to ones liking, food does not come with yoghurt, as you said comes on the side so we accommodate vegetarians while vegan can actually remove it!

Quality Plant-Based Options - Edit
My wife and I visited after spending an afternoon in Victoria. Menu has several vegan and vegetarian options. The one I chose, the Harvest Garden salad, was fantastic. It featured roasted eggplant, butternut squash, carrots, peppers — all served on a bed of spiced couscous. Also came with a side of hummus. Creative and flavorful dish. They have a pleasant outdoor area at the perimeter of St. George’s Square. Owner came over and couldn’t have been kinder. Would have given five stars if the app let me.

Simple tasty light bites - Edit
I had the falafel burger with hand cut potatoes, really tasty. Server understood a vegans needs, check for allergies and walked me through the menu. Seated in a pretty square with a nice through breeze which was great in 30° heat. Worth a stop if you visit the citadel as there’s nothing for vegans inside there.
