Serves meat, vegan options available. Offers veggie choices including a vegan burger, wok dish, curry with coconut milk, salads, grilled vegetables, and several more. Reported closed, Dec 2018.
We visited Rouxinol earlier this month. This place has it all, the view was stunning. The staff and food were amazing. The owner took time to explain how they only served their own wine, which the produced themselves. Can wait to return and revisit.
We were staying in Monchique and made a special trip to come down to Caldas to eat her. The owner was a little late opening up but we didn't mind waiting.
There was a good selection of clearly labelled vegan options, we got the wok veggies and rice. We had to wait a long time to get our food... the owner did apologise and said it was because they needed to cook the rice (lol....). It was tasty, but not very good value for money.
It was much more expensive than other restaurants in the area, but as we thought it was the only place with vegan options we stumped up. Although later we did find a better alternative in Monchique centre which I'd recommend instead.
We stopped here by chance for lunch on a trip into the mountains and I was pleasantly surprised to find it had a full page of vegetarian and vegan options. This was surprising as it looks like a typical rustic Portuguese restaurant but is actually run by a friendly Swedish man. I had a home made vegan burger, my friend had an omelette. It is an impressive old hunting lodge ironically, with what is reputed to be the largest fireplace in Portugal. Just past the Monchique spa and before the village.

Surprisingly good! - Edit
Lovely taste of the vegan burger, nice place and nice people working there. Could have homemade buns as well.
