delicious vegan pizza - Edit
Following the great advice here on how to order a vegan pizza off-menu, we had a delicious meal here.
Read moreBoth their pizza and stuffed garlic knots can be prepared vegan (no butter/eggs, olive oil instead of red sauce, vegan cheese). On request, they brought us some balsamic to use with EVOO to dip the garlic knots -- highly recommended!
The staff is very accommodating once they know you're vegan -- just ask them to help you with your off-menu order.
As of this moment, it's the only vegan pizza in Pagosa!
Pros: Vegan cheese, Vegan crust, Friendly service
Cons: No vegan red sauce

meh - Edit
Food was vegan, what they said it would be, and very expensive ($62 for three calzones plus a small side salad). staff were not the friendliest and they were not very busy at the time (6 tables total with at least that amount of staff milling around). they added parmesan cheese to the side salad making it inedible for us and out otherwise totally vegan order.

Vegan options! - Edit
Great pizza! Staff was very friendly and accommodating for vegans. We asked about vegan options and they were able to make our pizza vegan with Daiya cheese, even the garlic knots were able to be made vegan which we enjoyed.

Good Pizza, Vegan Friendly! - Edit
Set in a remodeled garage with a hodgepodge of ski-themed decor, this place has a funky, casual vibe. Vegan cheese is not listed in the menu but when we asked they were happy to make us stuffed garlic knots and a veggie pizza with vegan mozzarella. The pizza was loaded with toppings and the garlic knots were soft and puffy with crispy cheese around the edges. Even my omnivorous friend was impressed!

The best vegan pizza! - Edit
This is the best vegan pizza I have ever eaten! Everyone is so nice and knows how to modify ingredients to make sure it’s vegan. You choose your crust, sauce and all your toppings which are generous!

Tasty vegan options - Edit
The staff are very friendly and eager to please customers. While they advertise on their website that they have vegan options, it is not clear what they are on the menu. Because I had reviewed the Happy Cow entries, I was better able to ask specific questions and the waitress was very knowledgable about what they could provide for vegans. She was quickly able to tell me the wheat based pizza crust was vegan but not the gluten free crust, that their marinara sauce was vegan and they could substitute vegan cheese for dairy based cheese. I asked her if they could make the garlic knots with olive oil and garlic rather than butter and garlic and she stated that they could. We soon had a delicious meal of garlic knots and a vegetable pizza on the wheat based pizza crust with a marinara base and vegan mozzarella and feta cheeses. The restaurant emphasizes they cook from scratch and it shows. The pizza crust was crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy in the middle. The vegetables were plentiful and included sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, black olives, onions and mushrooms. The staff were attentive and efficient. We ate in the restaurant, which is small. They do have takeout as well. Definitely would return here next time I am in Pagosa Springs.

Love their pizza - Edit
They recently changed their marinara sauce to make sure it is vegan. Yippee! We love it, but still prefer their olive oil and garlic because it allows the vegetables to shine. Just ask for the vegan cheese for their pizzas or calzones and then build your own. Don’t be surprised by the increase in cost because of the vegan cheese. It’s unfortunate, but at least it’s an option! Limited space inside, but worth the wait.

A hidden gem! - Edit
Rosie's is a hidden gem! We saw other reviews on here that mentioned Rosie's has vegan cheese, so we took the chance and drove over. Not only did they have vegan cheese, but our server went above and beyond tell us they could also make the garlic knots vegan! The pizzeria also has a great atmosphere there, and it's really welcoming just sitting inside. We will definitely come back!

Cons: I believe it's $5 extra for vegan cheese.

Eh! - Edit
It's nice to have vegan options in town, I just wish that this tasted better. The pizza was bland with the white sauce and the pizza crust was too dry. Tip: Add a small drizzle of balsamic dressing to the pizza. We asked for margarine but they said that they didn't have any.

So good! - Edit
I got the veggie pizza with white sauce (olive oil and garlic) instead of the marinara. With vegan cheese! The vegan cheese isn’t on the menu but you can just ask the waiter. Also got some of the cinnamon knots vegan style (no butter) and those were so yummy!

Tasty food and vegan options - Edit
Locally owned, this spot is super cute and funky, and the food is tasty. The dough is made from scratch, and there are several vegan options on the menu such as pizza (order it "white" as the marinara sauce contains cheese); bruschetta, garlic knots (regular or stuffed); Greek salads (for vegan, omit the feta); and dessert cinnamon knots.
Read moreSome notes:
They have gluten-free crusts but they contain eggs.
Some items on the menu can be made vegan, but are not marked as vegan on the menu (such as the pizzas without marinara sauce and salads without cheese).
Food is delicious, but decadent - I'd go there more if they had a whole wheat or whole grain option! : )
Pros: Tasty food, vegan options marked on menu, cute decor
Cons: white flour (no whole wheat options), marinara sauce contains cheese
