Unexpected gem - Edit
Absolutely beautiful dinner, with carrot cake for dessert. We also grabbed some cookies to take away. Dragged my BF here and we were pleasantly impressed. Don't be fooled by the interior or the size of the restaurant, the food and staff were amazing.

A visit here is a must of you're into vegan mock meat. Homemade meats that do not disappoint, even surprised my omnivore relative. Very filling food, so go here on an empty stomach if you're planning to eat a three course meal.

This place makes it’s own vegan meats such as chopsticks, ribs and much more. It is very good and the owners are super friendly and vegan since 7 years! A place to be supported. The fries are delicious too. Will come back.

I had the prego roll, which was delicious, as were the home cooked chips and salad. Highly recommend if you are in Cape Town. They also provided samosas free of charge, which were very nice.

Well there isn't much to add from previous reviews. Food was delicious, additional samosas were served and the staff was as friendly as on can be. Just bring a little time when going, as they were a little low on staff when I went.

Tiny spot but big on flavor and portion sizes. Had an amazing conversation with the owner about how they started. Too full to have dessert, so we will try that next time. Had samosas, wings, burger and calamari.

What did I love best? Everything. Absolutely everything. I came here two weekends in a row with friends. We all had something different each time and everything was delicious. I actually can't say enough good things about this place. Please, please visit here if you're in Cape Town, vegan or not. You won't regret it.

I love the quality of the products - made mostly from mushroom & chickpea flour. Fantastic texture, incredibly flavoured - each product has their own flavour and taste.

Went here for lunch and had the ribs with fries and salad. They do their own meat alternative from chickpeas and mushrooms, making it gluten free.

Great food made with chickpeas and mushrooms. Firm consistency and very tasty. The owner was very kind and said they will be expanding to Johannesburg in the next couple of months. The food was not salty as a previous reviewer had said. Maybe they changed their recipe?

Had the steak and the kebabs for dinner. The food was pretty good but salty. The texture of the fake meat was decent. They also comped us an order of samosas while we were waiting for our food. We had only been waiting for 5-10 minutes at that point, so it was a pleasant surprise. Fake meat is their thing and it’s all they have on the menu. If you’re not a fan then there’s nothing much here for you.

Awesome Vegan Food - Edit
We tried a bunch of dishes on the menu and off (kudos to chef) and everything was great. Great deserts as well, especially the ice cream, cheesecake was so good.

Romeo and Vera have their own butcher shop also and sell these products locally. The food was delicious and I went back 3 days the week I was in Cape Town. I tried the ‘steak’ burger, the drumsticks, the pizza and the chef’s ‘lamb’ specialty. They were all yummy and good portions. Presentation was nice tooThe staff was very friendly.

Initially when we came we were a bit unsure what to expect. But we were absolutely amazed by the amazing food. What made it even better is that the vegan “meat” is HOMEMADE by the owners. They have a brand of vegan “meats” which they are selling. We had a wonderful conversation with one of the owners and he told us their story.

I had a piece of mock-meat that had amazing texture (made from mushroom and chickpeas) as well as a delicious smoky sauce. Honestly one of the best things I’ve ever had. I’ve only visited once so far but I can’t wait to return!

Small restaurant with a small but interesting menu of mock meats. I particularly enjoyed the faux chicken wings which were spicy and flavourful. I got a mock fish for my main which could have been a bit fishier with some nori. A few more vegetables on the mains would have been good. But overall a great find with friendly staff.

Delicious! I had the vegan grilled fish. I was given a couple yummy complimentary samosas! Dish was flavorful and loved the creamy spinach, but overall everything had too much salt. I got a really yummy and unusual carrot cake- not too sweet.
