Amazing - Edit
We stopped in over the July fourth weekend while visiting the Soo. The quality and taste of this all-vegan restaurant was outstanding. We tried the poke bowl, sushi roll, Korean bbq and the kids had the pretzel with cheese. I wish they had a restaurant near our home. And beyond the food, the folks that make it all happen are so kind. They are family owned and operated. #smallbusiness #veganpower

Wonderful Vegan Lunch! - Edit
We were visiting the Soo Locks and were thrilled to find a vegan restaurant nearby so we could eat while waiting for a boat. Jamie was super friendly & helpful. We all ate the chicken(less) fried rice. It was great! If I were a local, I’d be a regular patron—for sure!

Finally vegan options in Sault Ste Marie! - Edit
So happy to find this low-key place with great food. Kind and friendly people who really care about their food and have expansive knowledge of vegan flavors. Many vegetables sourced from a local farm.
Read moreHad the nachos, buffalo chicken wrap and crab less sushi. Owner gave us a taste of the adobo on the house. Excellent! Would go back!

Very good - Edit
We had lunch at Roll the Veg a few days back. Very good food, and something for everyone.
Read moreMy son had the chickenless nachos, I had the sliders and the korean beef w/rice. My wife and daughter had the adobo, and we also had the crabless rolls. They brought us a free sample of the tuna roll (made with watermelon), which was delicious!
It's not just take-out. It's located in an interior atrium and there are tables nearby.
It's deli-style, so everything is packaged to-go. I think a lot of their business is delivery. It's great to have a vegan option when visiting the UP! I was really surprised when it popped up on Happy Cow.
Pros: Very friendly folks., Decent portions., They make all their own stuff.

Perfect for traveling - Edit
Fantastic food! We picked some up to take with us on our lap around Lake Superior as we figured vegan food would be tricky to find. We ate the delicious salad for lunch a day later. It came in 3 separate containers (reuseable and recyclable) which kept it fresh and tasty. Then tonight we heated two meals in our motel microwave. The chick'nless Adobo was our favorite, sooo good. The GF spaghetti with vegan grounds was great too. Generous portions. Will definitely get more meals next time we're passing through.

Roll the Veg in Sault St Marie, Michigan Amazing food and service! - Edit
We travel to the Upper Peninsula in Michigan a couple of times a year and have had some difficulty finding vegan food. We happened upon an awesome little vegan spot in Sault St Marie offering awesome vegan food. My husband had the steak and cheese hoagie. I had the pepperoni flat bread and we shared a delicious sushi roll. The owner was informative and attentive and the food is delicious. Highly recommend!

Amazing food, plus very nice people! - Edit
I highly recommend this place! Usually wouldn’t go to a place inside an arcade, but it was very walkable, tons of places to park, and the food was excellent! They also accept credit cards, and the owner let us try several of the vegan meats (which they make) so we could decide what we wanted. It was so good! We bought a ton of stuff to take back to our hotel, and loved all of it. It was very satisfying, and definitely worth the walk!

The adobo was amazingbin every way. The vegan chicken was cooked to perfection and melded well with the flavor of the adobo. The Shanghai lumpia was so realistic. We ended up getting 10 of them and they still didn't last long.

*Cannot wait* to go back - Edit
I've wanted to go here since I heard of it. Finally got to go today and i was not disappointed. We tried the Korean BBQ skewers (wish we'd gotten multiple orders, they were so good), pancit (even my picky kid who usually wants just plain rice or noodles loved the mock meat on it), spam musubi with oyster sauce (super good) and the Shanghai lumpia (also wished we'd gotten more).
Read moreI didn't know this until after we'd ordered since it wasn't on the main menu, but it seems like they also have a rotating list of vegan desserts from different local vegan bakers. So def ask about that.
A note for anyone looking for it: it's tucked into the back of a local dive bar, and to get into the bar you need to ring a bell. In the future we'll probably just order over the phone and pick up but it was fun to check out in person.
Pros: first vegan Filipino place I've ever tried!, Food is incredible. SO GOOD, Owner is friendly
Cons: Hard to find: in the back of a bar

Vegan Magic indeed! - Edit
I don’t even know where to start! Tucked away inside Fred’s Tavern on Lamb in North Las Vegas. This may be an out of the way destination but it’s one that’s definitely worth the trip. I was worried the Asada nachos would be soggy by the time I got home but the thick cut chips hold up to the sauce and toppings. Great serving size and tons of gooey vegan cheese sauce, deliciously flavored asada, fresh pico, and vegan cheese shreds - each chip was the perfect bite. The Korean skewers were tender and meaty, with a delicious saucy marinade served with perfectly cooked rice. My first time having spam masubi has me kicking myself for waiting this long. They are like giant sushi roll slices of pure deliciousness! Their unique take on lumpia - jalapeño popper - are out of this world! And last but not least, don’t pass on dessert - the Oreo lumpia (whaaat?), were another unique and CRAZY GOOD creation! I had the ube lumpia before and they were good, too. Also great that the husband and wife chefs are two of the nicest and hardest working in town. Roll the Veg is performing some Filipino Vegan Majjac that you don’t want to miss.

Delicious food on Wednesdays only!!! - Edit
I saw some amazing reviews here and on Yelp and decided to get in the car and drive to the place. Turns out that it's not actually a sit-down restaurant but a shared commercial kitchen space. I just walked in and someone went to get the owner of Roll The Veg.
Read moreI asked him what would be quick and easy for him and whether I could sit at the tasting table in the front. He was very accommodating and after a while brought me a very tasty Filipino dish with awesome rice and a couple of egg rolls. The dish was onions, potatoes, and textured soy protein that was simply amazing.
The owners have tremendous experience in both the restaurant industry and veganism. I can't wait to be here again on a Wednesday! I was very impressed, and that's not easy.
Pros: All vegan. Delicious food!
Cons: Only open on Wednesdays!

The food here is fantastic! We ordered a few of the lumpias to try and they were all delicious. The Vegan Asada and Pineapple upside down cake lumpias were my favorite. The spam fried rice and kalbi were excellent as well. If you have a chance to try this food, do so! The chefs were also super nice and friendly :)

I had the vegan kalbi, which is one of their unrolled dishes, and I was not disappointed. Also, you get a good amount of food for the price, $13 got me the kalbi, a side of rice, a small cup of their Mac salad, and 2 lumpias. I don't care for their Mac salad and they don't seem to have drinks on the menu but the food was delicious. Looking forward to try their chicken pot pie lumpia and their oreo lumpia.
