I had the vegan delly classic, an amazing focaccia topped with pesto, spinach, avocado and melted cheese. I loved it! It's so nice to have multiple vegan options which are more creative than the standard "humus and grilled greens". Of course I also had to have a slice of vanilla cheesecake with lemon curd, which is also great. Staff was very friendly, bathroom clean.

Best place to be in den helder, always vegan savoury items and sweets the coffee made by your liking, the owners are real foodies and that is what you can taste here. 11/10 would recommend

Wir haben das Lokal auf der Heimreise von Texel besucht, vor 2 Jahren schon (letztes Jahr war an dem Tag leider geschlossen) und heute wieder.... Das vegane Angebot hat sich verbessert und es war sehr lecker, die „Snickers-ähnliche“ Torte war der Hammer! Total begeistert war ich auch von der Bedienung, die alles genau erklärt (übersetzt) hat, sehr aufmerksam war, immer mal nachgefragt hat, ob man noch etwas möchte und auch z. B. die veganen Torten angeboten hat.... so musste ich mal nicht nachfragen wie sonst immer und auch nicht bei jeder Bestellung wieder erklären, dass es vegan sein soll...

Edit: gestern wollten wir dort wieder mal frühstücken und bekamen gesagt, dass Hunde nicht dort rein dürfen?! Wir kommen seit mehreren Jahren während unseres Urlaubs MIT HUND (die ersten Male sogar mit 2 Hunden) hier her! Als ich das anmerkte, meinte die Bedienung „das wäre nicht möglich“ …. und stellt mich damit als Lügnerin hin? Das hätte man auch anders klären können, wenn aus irgendeinem Grund keine Hunde mehr erlaubt sein sollten. Sehr schade!

I have eaten a couple of times now at Robuust and they have never failed to disappoint me. The restaurant is trendy and has a nice atmosphere. They have a couple of vegan options on their menu and not just your basic salad.

Al een paar keer gegeten bij Robuust. Het is een hip restaurant met een leuke atmosfeer. Er staan meerdere vegan opties op hun menu en niet alleen je simpele salade. Als je in Den Helder bent zou ik het zeker aanraden!

Would give 5 stars if Happy Cow would let me. Even though it's not fully vegan they can veganise most dishes. Our order (burrito and jackfruit of flatbread) were both delicious.

Lovely owners who care and ever changing menu with great option - Edit
The owners are a great couple who have so much passion for what they do. He eats meat, she doesn't, so they try to keep a balance in the menu. There are usually a couple of vegan cake or sandwich options, but they are also up for veganizing at request.

On the menu there where 2 vegan labeled options. My husband and I got the sandwich with smashed white beans, avocado and a ras el hanout dressing. It was fingerlicking good and very filling! First time we came across a creative way of serving vegan food in a non-vegan place. The other option was a filled tortilla.
Read moreA few months ago we also visited this place. At that time they had 1 vegan option. A sandwich with slices of pumpkin which was also delicious and creative. I forgot what else was on the sandwich. :P
From the menu you can choose for a few plant based milks as base for hot chocolate milk. There also vegan smoothies available.
The lady who helped us, was considerate by asking if we normally also eat vegan. When we confirmed she made sure we got a piece of dark chocolate with our coffee instead of a piece of boterkoek (butter cake) which they usually serve.
