Slightly over the top, but really delicious

I went with work colleagues, and this is probably not somewhere I would have chosen on my own. However, given the circumstances, it was a tremendously pleasant surprise. The vibe is very Dubai, but if you can get past that, the food was tremendous. I had the warm salad, which was largely asparagus and broccolini, but also had edamame and a few other beans and a wonderful dressing. The main was spaghetti. The menu didn't mention it, but as you'll see in the photo -- it came with edible gold on it. In decades of veganism, I can't really remember having been served a specifically vegan dish that looked that way, and honestly, I don't think I was missing anything, because it didn't have a flavour, but when in UAE I guess... Regardless of appearance, it was good. Basic, but good. The dessert was kind of a work of art. I was sort of torn, but I went for the pistachio pannacotta. I didn't expect it to look like a tree on the plate, and yet, there it was. The sorbet was strawberry, but it was also basil, and it was incredible.
I'm torn on the rating. Seeing the fish brought out is a bit of a buzzkill, for sure. But if you can get past that, this was some properly high-end cooking. We don't get many opportunities for that in vegan terms, so I feel like it worth shouting out.
