What a find!! 1000 stars. Retro Coffee was my #1 favorite discovery in Asheville. (Thanks, Happy Cow!) They certainly seem to cater to a vegan crowd: there is no upcharge for plant milk and both times I went, the pastry case was PACKED with a huge variety of vegan pastries from local Asheville bakers Back Porch Baking Co.
OH EM GEE.. the pastries. 😱😱 We tried the vegan plain butter croissant, the cruffin and the s’mores pop tart.. whoa. I think I went straight to heaven. Also, their latte specials are divine. Check them out on Instagram @retroavl to see their specials. Absolutely must try!!

Decent option if you're close by - Edit
Plant milk options include oat, almond, and coconut. They normally have vegan pastries but the only thing available when I went was an excellent brownie. The barista said they normally have 3 or 4 but there's been less recently due to a temporary issue with the bakery.

Great coffee and pastries - Edit
Sweet new spot that offers vegan pastries to go with your coffee. It wasn't loud and would be a charming place to study or read a book while enjoying one of their amazing rotating specials. You can pick up some local art while you're there, too. The owners are so nice and put love into their business.
