Fancy restaurant with a lot of vegan options

A lot of nice, original options, definitely not basic. I had the seitan with sweet potato purée. Jummy.

Pros: Original options, Nice setting , Fancy but not too expensive

Cons: Had to wait a little to long for our main dish

Excellent dining experience

This is among the best restaurants in Northern Portugal on every level. Chic without being formal or stuffy. Attentive but not intrusive staff and a good variety of vegan options. The mushroom entrée, cogumelos a bolhão pato is delicious and there are multiple vegan mains all of which are excellent. It's not cheap but it's highly recommended.

Delicious food by the lake ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the best and my favourite restaurant in the region! The setting is idyllic, by a small lake with a tiny island in the middle accessible by a small bridge, with waterlilies, ducks and fish always looking up for a bit of bread. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a separate sushi area and the food is simply amazing. They offer starters of "Padrón" peppers, mushrooms "Bulhão Pato" style (dressing of garlic, olive oil, coriander, lemon, and white wine), and mains of risotto (wild mushroom and green asparagus or roasted tomato and basil), soy curry with apple chutney and basmati rice,
soy strogonoff with basmati rice,
grilled seitan with sautéed vegetables, mashed sweet potatoes and teriaki sauce,
tofu on purple potato purée, vegetables and crunchy cornbread, and vegan “alheira” with apple purée and spice crust. For dessert, you may have passion fruit pannacotta or wild fruits cheesecake, apart from seasonal and tropical fruit. All served by friendly and attentive staff. Don't forget to save some bread to share with the ducks and fish outside. 😉🦆🐟
