Hip but Hyped

We did the vegan 4 course menu on a weekday evening. It somehow took 2.5 hours and we weren’t the only ones who noticed the slow service.

It started out with a cream topped with radish that was decent but too large of a dish for something that should have been a palate cleanser. Next course was a grilled Romaine salad. Good but nothing revelational. Main course was grilled lions main mushroom and charred turnip which was the star. Dessert was a citrus ice cream which was good but the flambéed buckwheat crepe was overcooked and extremely bitter.

Not sure I would recommend this place. Our hotel concierge also said he’s been 3-4 times, not out of his own volition, and said it’s definitely more hyped than it should be.

Amazing menu!

I ate the four course vegan menu and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. Everything was well thought out and every plate had amazing flavours. Definitely would go back in a heartbeat!

Nice atmosphere with comfortable tables

Nolla has a nice atmosphere and is often comfortably full with other diners - not too crowded but never empty. This was my second visit and I can still recommend this place to fellow vegans. Even if the menu is small, there is a well thought out vegan option in every category. The mushroom nuggets were a bit of a let down in comparison to when I last tried them, they were a bit too chewy and the crust burnt too heavily for my liking. But the homemade bread served with herb oil (brought when asked a replacement for the butter), the beetroot main course and the marshmallow icecream dessert were all really tasty so overall a nice and cohesive menu for vegans too. And the wooden tables are elegant with their comfortable rounded edges😄
