Great hot pot - Edit
Excellent lunch, hot pot, lots of different vegetables. Would recommend eating here. I did not specifically ask but I thought my broth contained meat.

tasty and cheap - Edit
I ordered the Gyoza lunch set. I had 6 dumplings which came with an assortment of dishes (mixed salad, vegetable soup, vegetable curry, marinated vegetables, and a bowl of complete rice). Healthy, organic, tasty and for a really cheap price. Loved it!

Great Taiwanese food - Edit
I ordered the fried rice "lunch" set (confusingly, lunch sets can be ordered for dinner), and my boyfriend ordered the gyoza set. They came with an assortment of small dishes. We both really loved our main and mostly enjoyed the sides as well. Something nice is they really don't skimp out on the gyoza like some other places do. The portions were good, food tasty, and staff really welcoming.

Great food and friendly service - Edit
The food was very tasty and the price budget-friendly. The owner of the restaurant/chef was incredibly friendly and sweet. As other reviews mentioned, the restaurant is a bit hard to find but the pictures uploaded by other users helped a lot :)

Delicious and filling food, sweet staff - Edit
Although somewhat hidden, the place wasn't too hard to find with the pictures provided here (thanks for that!!). I came across this place on Happycow because it was open late and close to my Airbnb, and I'm very happy that I did. The menu has some English translations and easy-to-read Katakana, and the food is SO DELICIOUS. I went for the vegetable curry, while my partner had the Curry Noodles. It came with a little salad and some veggies, and it's definitely enough for a dinner portion. The woman who runs the place is super sweet and (maybe because it was late and she was about to close the kitchen) provided us with a couple free wheat meat pieces. Definitely check it out if you're in the area!

Lovely hidden place with great food - Edit
The place wasn’t easy to find but worth the effort. Menu has a bit of English plus pictures. Excellent service, the lady who runs the place is super sweet and speaks tiny bit of English too. Food was really tasty and reasonably priced, around 1000-1500 yens, including tea or coffee and fruits for dessert.

A very warm welcome vegetarian dinner at Kyoto - Edit
Not easy to find hence has attached the photo and to look out for sign board outside the restaurant. Delicious vegetarian food especially without Onion and Garlic. Highly recommended for vegetarian, vegan and those would like to eat vegetarian food. Very friendly lady Owner from Taiwan. Our family have a good chat with her during the dinner as well.

Hard to find but worth all the effort - Edit
Took some time to locate but very happy that we made the effort. This restaurant is a trial version in Kyoto of the main restaurant in Wakayama and opened in November 2017. The lady who runs the show solo cooks a great tasting meal. The restaurant is hard to locate as the signage is small and when you get to the door it may not seem like it is the place. The decor is very basic but the food is great. I had the gyoza meal and my wife had the veggie curry (Japanese style). She also has dessert which is not on the menu. But ask her if you feel like something sweet and delicious after the main.
