Cassava mofungo - Edit
When we got there, the guy behind the counter immediately pointed out what was vegan without me asking - i had the cassava mofongo with eggplant, garlic cream sauce, and crispy tarot- when I tell you the eyes rolled back in my head on the first bite- !!! 👀 That was absolutely one of the best dishes I've ever ate in my life! Totally worth the crazy parking and heat! Also recommend going next door and grabbing a mojito from the mojito lab. PR food and drink is the best! Parking: circle around the side or back of the strip.

GREAT vegan mofongo - Edit
Yuca is the ONLY vegan base and the garlic cream sauce has dairy but all the other sauces are vegan. I got yuca, eggplant, crunchy malanga, and chimi🔥 super well seasoned

Grateful to have had a vegan option in the area. Got the yuca with eggplant and mango chutney. Filling and delicious!

Best option in the kioscos - Edit
I was hesitant to try this place because I’m not usually an eggplant fan, but gave it a try since the other options in Luquillo are, shall we say, limited.

Eggplant mofongo was spectactular - Edit
Despite the lack of vegan options, the eggplant mofongo with creole sauce was spectacular, and I am saying this as someone who ussually does not like eggplant. It is well worth the price

Amazing mofongo! - Edit
They have one fixed vegan option. I was a little hesitant because of that but when I got my order it was super yummy! It was my first time trying mofongo and absolutely loved it! Very nice flavour absolutely would go again!

good option, but… - Edit
they on out have 1 option, the combination of
Read more- mofongo de yuca
- stewed eggplant
- pineapple or cilantro chimchurri
- plantain chip topping (i think)
when i asked for the eggplant, the employee asked me if i was vegan. when i said yes, he specified the specific combo, so try telling the employee you’re vegan. i wish it was labeled like that on the menu, but i really appreciate that they already knew and even made sure to ask me because otherwise the meal wouldn’t have been vegan (the plantain mofongo has bacon). good customer service.
also the combination was yummy, not the best vegan mofongo in PR but i really liked it.

The vegan, stewed eggplant mofongo is out of this world delicious! Great flavor! Great toppings! And a huge bonus that the version I had was totally vegan!

So delicious! - Edit
Eggplant mofongo was such an amazing meal, especially after a long beach day. The eggplant was the only vegan option, but I’d still definitely recommend checking it out :)!

Delicious mofungo, could have more options - Edit
It was a little confusing to know which of the bases (plaintain, yuca, rice&beans), toppings, and sauces were vegan-friendly.
Read moreThe staff was helpful and I explained what we didn’t want and she guided our decisions.
The yuca bowl with eggplant and two different kinds of vegan sauces were delicious and filling. The price was a little high but it seemed reasonable for the vibe of the area.

Genuine Puerto Rican Street Food - Edit
Located along a strip in front of the Liquillo beach this joint is jumping literally with the over enthusiastic música from the mojito bar next door. The staff is helpful and friendly and the vegan mofungo is as authentic as it gets.

So delicious! - Edit
Best mofongo of the trip so far! It’s really delicious here: I got the sweet plantain with eggplant and pineapple sauce. The regular plantain is not vegan (cooked in pork) so get either the sweet plantain or Cassava.

Yummy, but a lot of oil - Edit
The vegan mofongo had great flavor and textures. It was very greasy and not very healthy. It is a good option to have, though.
