I was in First Markham Place last week. I'm really delighted to found a vegan food place in the food court. I do really excited and try out their Benton box lunch. I can tell you the meal is really really good. It is fresh and health. It tastes very good. I'm for sure to be their regular customer. I wish the owner keep up his good work. I'm starting to circulate this information to my vegetarian friends and groups.

Dim Sum is good, noodles is not good - Edit
We ordered a barbecue pork bun , tasted good and a Thai spicy chilly fake seafood noodles. Fake seafood tasted like rubber, noodles were just instant noodles, the bowl was small.

Real Vegan is awesome but bad experience from their next store HKS BBQ - Edit
I like to share what I seen,last monday I entered the food court inside the First Markham Place,I seen Real Vegan was blocked by a long lineup from the HKS BBQ,I walked through the lineup and saw people standing in front of Real Vegan,and the menus on the front counter were being blocked by those people,I was trying to read the TV menus on the top inside Real Vegan but it didn't work for me,I have really bad eye and the screen menus kept rotated,I couldn't read it so well,but I still try my best,few minutes later I was shocked,I found out those people who blocked in the front of Real Vegan were not waiting the food from their store,they took the food from HKS BBQ and left,I felt so mad and went to Real Vegan counter and read the menus,Tom finally saw me after few minutes waiting,he ran to the counter asked friendly and try to take order from me,but I was out of my mind and told him what the xxxx is going on?are you guys still in business?he was stunned but still friendly smilled and helped my order,during ordering food, he told me they really have nothing to do about it,after I calmed down and understood everything wasn't their fault,I felt very sorry to him that's why I tiped $5+ for my apology,after paid I moved to left side of their counter closed to HK BBQ waiting and checking their menus again,suddenly I got hit by a customer from HKS BBQ, she didn’t felt apologize and continued stand very close to me on Real Vegan side,I stared at her very angrily,suddenly Tom came out with my order and kept apologizing to me, I told him It's not your fault, why you have to apologize for her,he shrugged his shoulders and looked very helpless.I took my meal and sat down not far from them,in around 20 minutes during my lunch,I saw most the customers from HKS BBQ habitually move to Real Vegan side waiting their order after paid but not to the front of HKS BBQ display box,there were lots of room for waiting because no one was there,even I saw people put their food and personal thing on Real Vegan counter during waiting,also delivery guys left their dolly in front of Real Vegan and went to the other stores few times,I guess those people don't like to block the display box of HKS BBQ but they don't mind to block Real Vegan.yesterday I went to Real Vegan again pick up my order before I headed back Ottawa,I still saw people doing the same thing to them,I felt so upsad and wish good luck to Real Vegan,hope they can survive for long until my next visiting with my whole family

Pros: Great food, Great service , Great price
Cons: HKS BBQ casher should ask their customers, waiting in front their display box after pay, do not waiting in front of Real Vegan anymore

Great vegan spot in a crazy meat environment - Edit
This is a vegan takeout place in a food court. All nearby restaurants are focused on meat so it’s wonderful to see this business thriving for the last 3 years it’s been open. It has EXCELLENT dim sum and lots of combo dishes. Highly recommend going here for the vegan dim sum. Very limited beverage options but it’s ok.

I ordered food to go from this restaurant for the first time today. I ordered two items from the dim sum menu (siu mai and steamed sticky rice wrap), and the gong pao chicken which came with a rice/quinoa mix and vegetables. I waited about 15 minutes for my food. I was impressed with everything, especially for the price. There mock meats have a good texture and the sauces on them are very flavourful. The vegetables are flavourful but very light and fresh. The rice/quinoa mix is light and fluffy. The steamed sticky rice wrap was a standout for me.

Delicious food, absolutely amazing staff - Edit
So good food, the portion size was absolutely satisfying, the staff was so nice and tried to explain each and every dish so we could decide. We had a soup, a rice dish and dim sum. On top, they served us cold tea. It was so delicious and we are really sad we are not from here so we can't try everything on the menu.
