Good food, nice vibe - Edit
Other half and I just dropped in on a busy Friday night passing through on a 9-hour drive, and were lucky to score seats at the bar to avoid the 40-minute wait for a table. The friendly, incredibly busy bartenders provided decent entertainment and a nice beer selection. Service was excellent. My veganized Farmers Market flatbread was absolutely delicious. Took half of it on to my destination because I'd eaten a tasty hummus plate as an appetizer, which I don't see on the online menu. Typical bar noise level, but didn't interfere with our conversation. Altogether a terrific dinner experience.

Great vegan flatbreads - Edit
Updated 4/21: Love Rail Trail♡ I ordered via Door Dash this time, which allows you to substitute vegan cheese, but you cannot do comments or request vegan meat which we usually order when in person. Still a delicious pie, but not added protein.
Read moreMany vegetarian and vegan options from flatbreads with vegan cheese, impossible meat, or tofu.
We bought the modern greek veganized with no feta and added tofu. Then a build your own pizza with vegan cheese and impossible meat. Delicious! It can be pricey adding on the vegan proteins.
Hungry for dessert? Go across the street to New City Microcreamery for vegan ice cream.

Alot of meh - Edit
I would actually give it 3.5 stars but I think people raving about this place haven't been to some good vegan restaurants. I'm going to be in the minority but it was just ok. This place is super expensive, and the flat breads are pretty good(the rain for 3.5). I would stay far away from the cauliflower and the burger they were so bland and burnt. I will say if your staying in marlborough is one of the best options to get delivered.

Its funny, Rail Trail does not advise getting cauliflower if vegan because they know its not good veganized lol. No surprise it was disappointing!

Love it - Edit
I built my own pizza with Vegan cheese and tomato spread, and when I asked a staff member, they helped me find someone to confirm that the dough is vegan too. Friends with Celiac approve the gluten free pizza as well.

Great options - Edit
Food was great, got the farmers market and Mexican corn flatbreads but made with vegan options. Tasted soooo good. Waitress Danielle was wonderful. The whole staff was friendly especially the manager. From NY but would definitely visit again if in the area. Would give 5 stars if allowed.

Lots of options! - Edit
There were a few pizza types and options throughout the menu. The menu is labeled for vegetarians but it's pretty straightforward to see what could be made vegan and the staff are knowledgeable about vegan foods. The pizza itself was good. Not the best I've ever had but definitely a great option for this area

Creative Vegan Options - Edit
Really great vegan options here that don’t phone it in. Have tried their falafel sandwich, Impossible mac pizza, and veggie pizza (all can be requested vegan) and everything was amazing. The staff is also really nice and willing to explain options/modifications. Super recommend.

Good handful of vegan options - Edit
Excellent service. Asked waitress for vegan options and she herself said she was vegan and listed several options on and off the menu. The cauliflower appetizer, made vegan, was disappointing however as I think it’s usually fried but prepared vegan it was just roasted cauliflower and sauce- Would not get again. The fig pizza with vegan cheese was a huge hit and My boyfriend and I raves about it. We will be back.

Vegan-friendly - Edit
Their flat breads are delicious and they are very accommodating if you let them know you’re vegan. They also have a veggie taco meal that’s vegan and the Impossible burger, which they will crumble onto a flatbread for you. I got the burger once and wasn’t too impressed, it was pretty bland, but the flat bread is fantastic and fully customizable.

Amazing gem with great food! - Edit
What a great find! The staff is friendly, large interior with a great vibe, and a seriously creative menu with plenty of vegetarian and many vegan options. NOTE: many vegan versions aren't listed on the menu, but the staff are very happy to accommodate and alter the dishes. Very large portions for a reasonable price. One of the best omnivore restaurants I've found.

Five stars! I’ve always loved Rail Trail, but hadn’t been in quite a while.
Read moreThey always had vegetarian options, but I was so excited to come today and see their menu specifically stating, right at the top: “Our menu is Vegetarian, Non-Dairy, Vegan friendly!”.
The menu changes frequently, but today’s options that I recall included —
Apps: a sweet potato hummus, fried avocado (no ranch)
Salads: multiple choices with the listed options to add Impossible burger, avocado, grilled eggplant, edamame falafel
Pizza: build your own options (I did NOT ask if the gluten free or cauliflower crust options were vegan, but their original sourdough crust is). Traditional and fun toppings. Braised tofu
Other entrees: Impossible burger with various toppings including Chao DF cheddar
It does get really busy, so plan ahead. The food and drinks are always delicious and the service is fantastic and the staff is knowledgeable about the food.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, incl multiple proteins , Regular pizza dough is vegan and flavorful , Knowledgeable staff
