World’s cutest cafe! 🐇 - Edit
We visited this cafe predominantly for the rabbit theme and were certainly not disappointed!! the interior is so lovely and there are bunnies everywhere 🐰 the food we tried (chicken burger & mac hot dog) was good but nothing particularly special for the price - would definitely recommend the cake though!

The breakfast sandwich is to die for - Edit
I can't tell you how tasty the breakfast sandwich is here. If you're deciding between the more posh looking Sacred Grounds and here, go here for good food, go to Sacred Grounds for the atmosphere. The burgers, the ice cream and desserts, and the BREAKFAST SANDWICH is all so yummy. Skip the breakfast bagel in favor of the sammie.
Read morePros: Best vegan breakfast sandwich I've ever had, Cozy but enough seating, Animal and kid friendly
Cons: Slightly smallish room?, Not the easiest to get to without a vehicle, I don't live near there anymore & it makes me SAD

Amazing cafe - Edit
We were staying the other side of the city so had quite a walk but it was certainly worth it and wouldn’t hesitate recommending. Fantastic menu with some unusual but delicious twists, eg mince pie milkshake - is a thing!! Quirky venue with a happy and relaxing atmosphere.

Inspirational approach to vegan food - Edit
Really refreshing approach to vegan food, creating a whole side of the menu of ‘vices’ like SFC and burgers and fries that really hit the spot when you want to indulge.. on the other side of the menu they have awesome healthy plates that really hit the spot in terms of taste as well.. so much more than just meat free, these guys have nailed it! The also have an incredible selection of cakes and desserts. I wouldn’t be scared to take my omnivore friends here as I known they would love the food too! Be careful or like me you’ll end up with eyes bigger than your stomach! Only criticisms are that because of the frying and a poor ventilation system, the whole air if full of fat, which stays on you after you leave.. but if a shame, and might make me think about just getting takeaway next time and the reason for losing a star..
Read morePros: Focus on incredible tasting food.. , Awesome vegan ‘dirty’ food that adds to appeal, Friendly place
Cons: A lot of frying going on so greasy atmosphere..., Some of the food isn’t the healthiest, Not much else

A disappointing experience - Edit
We were really excited to visit Rabbit Vegan Cafe as had read some great reviews.
Read moreMenu looked great, placed order and then 20mins later we were told they were unable to complete our food order and that the kitchen was closing due to a food hygiene visit.... we were then asked to leave (along with three other tables)🙈😱
I hope whatever went on gets sorted soon.
On the plus side, the hot chocolates we managed to drink before leaving were nice :)

Highly recommend! - Edit
Had the superfood salad (chose the ranch dressing) and it was so delicious! Also tried some of my sister's mac and cheese which was also incredible! We were so full but really tempted by the deserts, so we shared a cheesecake which was, of course, amazing as well!!

In my opinion this is the best vegan cafe ever!! The food is absolutely delicious and the staff and lovely. I can’t get enough of their Mac & ‘cheese’ and it’s even better when it’s on one of their vegan hotdogs! It’s such a great place I wish I could move in!

Well worth a visit! - Edit
I had a really tasty sushi inspired vegan bowl that was super yummy followed by an equally delicious torte. The rest of the family had burgers and hotdogs which went down a treat which is always an achievement with my family's picky tastes!

Lovely meals - Edit
A friendly welcome and a good choice on the menu. There is also a children’s menu and a good choice of desserts and cakes. Drinks included a hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream! Only managed a main each as the portions were generous. My daughter had the burrito bowl which was delicious and I chose courgette fritters - the house ranch sauce was very lovely! Will be back

The food! Wow! - Edit
Went there during our roadtrip through southengland. Got the beanburger with salad which was really good. The fries were not that good. But the cake was just awesome! Especially the biscoff cake. Oh my god. I can recommend it to get your cake there.

Bit mixed - Edit
We went on a Saturday afternoon and its obviously a very popular place and there was a bit of a wait on food.
Read moreI really didn't like my strawberry milkshake, tasted like bottled syrup and nothing else. Nice to have tap water available on the counter.
I had the burrito bowl which was very tasty and husband had the lettuce cup tacos which he enjoyed.
Bit of a shame they didn't have any 'proper' gf cake, but they had loads of nutty cheesecake, raw cake type things which seemed popular.
I wouldn't rush back, but it was nice enough.

Found the Rabbit Vegan Cafe with no problems after finding it from this app. Had the Hawaiian Toastie which was incredible, great value for money as the portions are big. Will definitely be coming back as soon as possible to try the rest of the menu, especially the breakfasts and cakes!

Amazing Mac’n’Cheese - Edit
We popped into Rabbit Cafe for an early lunch on our last day in Exeter and had the most deliciously cheesy mac’n’cheese, which is amongst the best I’ve ever tasted, and a beautifully presented SFC (Southern Fried Chickun) burger, which came with fries and a side of coleslaw, for which you can choose from a range of dressings - we went for ranch.
Read moreNext time we visit Exeter, I think this will be our first point of call, as there are many other temptations on the menu!
It’s clearly very popular, because within 20 minutes of us arriving (just before midday), the place was packed!
Pros: Fabulous Mac’n’Cheese, Very good value, Friendly service

What an amazing space to eat..... - Edit
I choose this establishment because of a business meet up and wanted to introduce a new eatery to them in my local area. We all eat hot, perfectly flavoured food in a kind and welcoming environment. I would recommend the Mac and Cheese, and my fellow patrons would also add their choices to. The facilities were clean, and provided all we needed to be happy for our long stay. At no point did we feel rushed, and when it came to ordering we were greeted by warm and polite members of staff (apologies ladies, as I did not get your names) who valued our custom on a chilly Sunday.

Fully vegan and passionate vegan staff.
Read moreThey have something for everyone - sprouted bean salads and soups for the healthy guest and seitan burgers and hotdogs for the less healthy needs. Great for kids and dogs. The cakes are the best vegan cakes I've ever had.
Ita only open during the day at the moment, but I'd check for up to date info as this has changed.
It's a cafe atmosphere, not really my style, but I go for the food. Its my 10 year old's favourite restaurant in Exeter. She has the fake chicken burger and a biscoff milk shake, and is always happy
Pros: Fully vegan with something for everyone , Best cakes ever , Dog and kid friendly
Cons: Only open during the day, I don't like the really skinny fries!

The best vegan food ever! - Edit
This cafe has by far the best vegan food I’ve ever tasted! I used to live in London, which has many vegan places to eat at. But this is by far better than any place I have eaten before. They manage to make fantastic mock meat burgers and meals. My boyfriend has recently turned vegan and says you can not tell the difference between rabbit cafe’s meat and real meat. I have tried most of the things on their menu and every single item is fantastic. You get loads for your money and the service is great too. 100 % worth a visit and worth visiting their all vegan supermarket just a few doors down (called Seasons).

New year Lunch - Edit
I had to wait an hour for the store to open on 2nd Jan but well worth waiting for. I think I was 1st customer of 2019 and things were a bit disjointed.

I ordered the SFC burger with slaw and fries.
We’ll definitely worth the wait, the burger with mayo gherkin tomato in a really lovely soft bun. The slaw was so much more than just a slaw.... radish, pulses, seeds etc and the dressing was beautiful.
The fries were skinny and tasty.
I was only passing through Exeter but glad I waited to witness the food in this quirky establishment.
Not sure they knew what to make of me?
Pros: Parking outside, All plant based , Very tasty home made food
Cons: None I could see

Lovely Vegan Cafe - Edit
We ordered the Biscoff Milkshake and Strawberry Milkshake to start and they were delicious. Decor was simple but cute. Service was good and staff were very friendly. Only slight issue was the blocked salt and pepper pots. It’s a a little bit off the beaten track, you wouldn’t stumble upon it, but worth the visit. We had the Mac and Cheese Tofu Dog for main. This was good and definitely filling. Deserts looked extremely tempting but we didn’t save enough room for one!
