A really cosy vegetarian-friendly corner - Edit
One of the best of the Zi Zai Vegetarian group of vegetarian restaurants, located in a place only most regulars or hungry veggie seekers would know of. This cosy restaurant has a versatile and comprehensive Asian menu selection of vegetarian delights, and Western/Japanese food options. Able to select egg and egg-less options. Staff is friendly and attentive.
Read moreThere are different selection of rice (brown rice, white rice and fragrant rice). I remember it most for it's delectable Mock Chicken Rice, Yam Ring, Yee Mian, Hor Fun, and Ai Yu Jelly drink. It also carries an interesting selection of vegetarian convenience food items.
Health-conscious people can request for less oil and less salt when placing orders.
5-stars rating.

Decent food, fast service - Edit
We came here for lunch and arrived just before noon, which is a good time to come because otherwise this restaurant is packed (office lunches). We ordered quite a few dishes:
Read more- Stir fry spinach
- Chilli lady fingers
- Kong Pau Lion's Mane Mushroom
- Steamed fish (my favourite out of them all)
- Chicken rice (chicken arrived late, almost like they forgot about it)
- side of brown rice (very small portion)
We ordered medium for all of the dishes, which was smaller than we thought so I left the restaurant hungry. There were five of us eating, so probably could have ordered a couple of large dishes. Tasty dishes, very quick to come out of the kitchen (except for the chicken from the chicken rice) and satisfactory for all.
Pros: No eggs, Menus clearly marked which contained milk, Lots of options

Nice! Penang Laksa - Edit
Popped by Zi Zai Vegetarian (5-min walk from Boon Keng MRT) for their Penang Laksa ($6) - The ingredients consists of deep friend mock fish and tofu. Nice! Just how I want it to be. If there is more cucumber, pineapple and mint leaves, I would be very satisfied.

Unassuming place with lots of heart - Edit
This little gem of a neighbourhood vegetarian cafe serves the most delightful local delights! The price is reasonable, the food is delicious, the place is comfy and, like its namesake, cosy, and will be a place I’d find myself on hot afternoons or evenings.

One of the best zi zai outlet in Singapore - Edit
Tried the Thai-style Beancurd ($4), herbal mee sua ($5.50) and Curry fish rice ($4) at this zi zai outlet! Pleasantly surprised as the variety is super wide and the prices of each dish is highly affordable! Best part is that they all taste so good! Highly recommend the herbal mee sua which is generously topped with real herbs, and chewy monkey head mushroom! 2 huge pieces of Thai-style Beancurd for only $4 - definitely a must order. Overall very satisfying meal, and I went back again the following week!
