Delicious food

Good, quick service and friendly staff. It was a bit busy at dinner time, so I would recommend booking a table just to be sure. The tofu with rice noodles was fresh, not too oily and absolutely delicious! The only con would be that it’s a bit crowded inside and no air condition.

Mediocre.

Honestly, I don't get the euphoria and enthusiasm most reviews of this place contain. Prior to moving to their new location the "experience" was indeed pretty good - they had quite a few more options, the taste was usually very good, the prices were lower ( moving to a very central place in Berlin in order to, I guess, attract more possible customers obviously went along with a supposedly much higher rent ), there were proper sitting possibilities, i.e. chairs deserving their name and some dishes were maybe a little bigger, but my memory could be failing in this regard. After not visiting the place for almost two years despite always wanting to take a look at their new location I went there a little while ago and was sort of disappointed: The menu has shrunk to a considerable degree, the prices increased; the place is more "fancy" now, the food though - at least the dishes I had, including those of my companion - was only "ok", while the new fancy chairs they equipped the whole restaurant with are a literal pain in the ass ( and other body parts ).

The staff was friendly, but all in all there are several better vegan Vietnamese places in town.

Pros: Not that much.

Cons: Chairs, Options, Prices.

Good pho

Went there with a small family group.
The Pho portions are good but the dim sum and summer rolls are pricey for what you get.
They don’t have big tables outside but only 2 tiny ones.
Service is good but not particular smiling and welcoming.

Pros: Good pho, No relaxed atmosphere

Disappointing

Having been impressed by 1990 Vegan Living, I had high expectations of this place. They were turned on their head. The menu was not as interesting and the food was mediocre. We had two unimpressive variations of bun/rice noodles (tofu-mushroom and spring roll). Servings were large though and my coconut smoothie was fine. Dumplings were average. The most memorable part was waiting several minutes to order while the waiter stood outside smoking a [censored].

Pros: Decent serving size

Cons: Mediocre food, Inattentive staff

Absolutely Delicious Vietnamese Food

Beautiful interior. We were welcomed and sat down very quickly. The windows were open as it was a hot day, providing a lovely breeze. Our food came very quickly and was absolutely amazing. So nutritious and delicious. Also some meals are served in lovely bamboo baskets. The waitress was lovely and managed to not keep us waiting, despite the lunchtime rush.

Pros: Quick service, Nutritious, All vegan

The perfect go to for asian food lovers

I‘ve tried many vegan restaurants and after i saw the reviews on this one we had to and check it out. To say it shortly, this was probably not only the best asian food i had, but the best vegan food i‘ve had! - Das Seetangfilet stellt alles bisherige in den Schatten!

Pros: Good price, Perfectly cooked food., I recommend the number 14 on the list!

Pho was tasty and portions are big.
Staff was not very welcoming maybe because it was little too busy.

Tasty!

I had a great pho here a little bit on the oily side.
The portions are big and service is decent
Something that I don’t like is that they wrote “tips are not included “ on the bill.

Oh my - I've never had better food!

Seriously, south vietnamese cuisine is now my favorite kind of food. Everything was pretty much perfect. Taste, price, location, staff. Everything more than good! I've been to many vegan restaurants, but Quy Nguyen had to be the best, yet!

Pros: TASTY, Good prices!, interesting/exotic dishes

Cons: none, seriously, they're perfect

I would have put 1 star !

I went to this restaurant super excited to have vegan dumplings. The food and my drink arrived real quick, but as I was taking my first sip, I noticed a big fly in it. As I work in a restaurant (and as nobody came to make sure I was doing fine...) i just removed it and told myself this stuff can happen. When my dumpling arrived, there was an eyelash on one of them. I told myself that it probably just fell off the waitress eyes (or the cook) a few seconds earlier. Dumplings were amazing! The soup was ok. I took another sip, and noticed another fly in my drink, a little one this time... my drink was almost full, and I decided I would tell them. I work in a restaurant, and I never complain. I know that it can happen, but 2 flies (plus an eyelash!) it’s too much. I waited and waited for someone to come and clean my table so I could talk to them, and the waitress only came when she saw me play with my wallet. So I took all the courage I needed (because I hate this kind of situation!!) and I told her about the flies. She went to the bar, told the other waitress, who I clearly saw rolled her eyes ! The waitress then came back to me, and she told me that flies love the sugar so that’s why they must have fell in my drink. I then started explaining that no, i received my drink with a big fly in it, it was already in my drink, and then she started saying to me that all our their drinks were fresh and homenade. « It never happened » and « why didn’t you say something? ». So, not only that they didn’t apologize (honestly, it was the only thing I really wanted, that and let them know so it don’t happen again!) but they charged it anyway. I felt like I just did something bad, and it was NOT the case at all! I just told the fact, and I felt like they didn’t believe me, that they didn’t care about their customers. I didn’t feel respected.
If I would have been the waitress, I wouldn’t have debate with the customer. I would have apologized right away, and I would not have charged it. If I would have been a mean customer, I could have complained about the two flies AND the eyelash. Maybe I should have, considering how I was threat for being kind.
The food was ok, but honestly, bad service. Im still mad about it!

Pros: Everything is vegan, Dumplings were good

Cons: Bad customer service, No respect for the customer

Pretty decent. Not blown away

The atmosphere was nice. It was very busy, but the service didn't fall apart because of it.
The main course was good (curry), but i thought that the bahn bao was very average. too much stodgy dough and not enough filling.

One of favorite restaurants in world

I love this place. It was a hole in the wall when I first came to Berlin a few years ago. I’ve since been all over the world and finally had a chance to come back and see the new location. It was a favorite even as a hole in the wall and now it has such a lovely atmosphere too.

Fresh, clean and honest food, insanely delicious

We went there after quick search of vegan establishments (happy cow rules:-) during our Berlin weekend. The place looked very welcoming, nice decor, little Buddha statues, calming colours. The tables however were a bit sticky, would make better appearance if properly wiped :-(.
To the point already:
The food was insanely delicious, freshly prepared, clean, colourful and crisp. We tried summer-rolls (great peanut/hoisin cream sauce). Then we went for udon noodles in main and soup - both dishes packed with flavour, spicy, plenty of fresh veggies and wonderful organic tofu. The main was served in bamboo basket which was also really cute :-)
Will be definetely back if we go to Berlin again, otherwise will be dreaming of golden tofu indefinetely
Edit: April 2018
we sure came back and ended up eating there everyday we have stayed in Berlin….. Still insanely delicious and packed with flavour, they changed location for more central and nicer one. If you like oriental flavours please go there you will not regret it :-)) Place is really clean, nice restroom too
