Adorable and Kind - Edit
We had wanted to go to Peru this summer but with the strikes, we delayed it to later. But we had done a little research about the food and culture and when we saw there was a vegan Peruvian place, we definitely wanted to try it. I’ve actually bookmarked this place for a while and found it again for the day to LA.
Read moreLlama Love Vegan is the ghost kitchen in Qusqo. They have a separate vegan menu. We ordered chicha (purple corn drink), choclo con queso, saltodo veggie, and veggie Chaufa.
I think they forgot about our saltado order. Someone came by twice to ask if we needed anything else, and we had to remind them each time we were still waiting for the saltado.
The chicha is lightly sweet, amusing. The choclo are like giant starchy chewy corn. Cheese sauce was okay. I think the best thing that night was the green sauce that we put on everything. The chaufa was a bit oily but also mild tasting at the same time. The saltado was a bit salty but good fries.
We still enjoyed our meal for the experience of vegan Peruvian food but probably wouldn’t need to go back.
