Op Vegan Summer Fest 2024 aan hun stand een heel lekkere koek gekocht met een lekkere citroenvulling, niet meteen opgegeten maar de dag erna, was zo lekker dat ik spijt had er niet meer te hebben gekocht!

Not your average coockie - Edit
Bought a chocolate-praliné coockie. The dough is something between sand dough and coockie doug, bit harder on the outside and soft inside and has a soft-crispy bite. The chocolate-base together with the hazelnuts on top gives a nice nuttella-taste.

Read moreThe chewies (stuffed cookies) are just… amazing! I’ve eaten a few types of different (and good) pastries, but never had a “stuffed cookie” like this before. They also had a variety of different ‘special’ flavours besides the “regular” ones, which was a pleasant surprise!
The price was (or is) fair, considering the size, flavour and quality in my opinion (in comparison with the likes and pastries from the other stands or suppliers). I bought a few, thinking it was a quick snack, but eating one is enough to leave you satisfied!
I’m glad I discovered them, enjoyed their nice and friendly hospitality, and will probably order them online as my occasional coffee snack from now on!

i only tried their stuffed cookies at the vsf 2024 in ghent. they are not bad but in my view a bit too sweet and also not cheap (4,50€). "real" meals and catering might be better tho

I'm sorry you found them too sweet. I have 18 different kinds of cookies, one sweeter than the other.
I would just like to give you some background info. The cookies are sweetened with unrefined canesugar and the stuffings either with agave or dates. All of the stuffings and toppings are completely homemade without the use of any prefabricated ingredients, which is quite time consuming but makes them as wholesome and nutritious as possible. They are filled with 100% pure ingredients like nuts, coconut, fresh fruit,... The flour used is wholegrain spelt, which is healthier than wheat. Also, many ingredients such as chocolate, coconut, vanilla, agave, lemon, bananas, etc. are standard organic and fair trade. One cookie weighs about 125g which is about the same as a piece of cake. So maybe now you understand the price a bit better :)

Delicious easter menu - Edit
Que Chew offers a wide range of vegan dishes. For easter the menu included "egg" salad, roasted carrots, chickpea roast, polenta fries and broccoli stuffed potatoes. We took the meal to go on our way to Antwerp and really enjoyed every bite of this feast during our train ride.

Que chew is a great addition for Ghent. Make sure to keep an eye out for their Facebook menu offers.
