Delicious!

Delicious Vegan Indian food. Owner was super friendly and very vegan considerate. Not Balinese cuisine (even though the owner is Balinese), but a must to visit

Exquisite mouth watering cuisine in Candidasa

This restaurant used to be in Sideman & moved to Candidasa, same chef. The vegan Thali offers taste sensations with each & every mouthful. Vegan Dahl is the best Dahl I've eaten, the samosa is equally so. Indian food is my all time favourite food & this little roadside restaurant in a sleepy street in Candidasa has absolutely perfected the smells, favours, textures & tastes. We've already been 3 times & will continue returning for this dining experience. There's a friendly pouch named Aussie who comes to visit. The staff are lovely. The restaurant is humble, neat & tidy. What more could you ask for ... delicious affordable Indian cuisine at good prices. My partner had non vegan thali & said it was the best he's ever eaten. Heads up the toilet is traditional Bali.

this is going to be a lengthy review but if you are going to read one let it be this. i want to start by saying that i’m not trying to be dramatic, well maybe i am but whatever. let’s just get some background info first, i have been vegan for about 7 years now so indian food is a big staple in my diet. i grew up with lots of indian friends and eating authentic indian dishes my whole life. i’ve traveled to many places and ate indian food (america, all over europe etc) never india tho so maybe one day😉we stayed in sideman for a few days, little vegan options far out here but i saw this place on happy cow and decided to give it a go. they have an entire vegetarian page. our server was not only beautiful on the inside and out but was the sweetest person ever and knew about veganism and helped me out. we ordered a lot of food. i wasn’t expecting much, as i have eaten multiple indian dishes before so i was excited to have some in bali. the first dishes were brought out, and my god you can smell from the kitchen the most incredible scent. the dishes not only smell how i can’t even describe into words, but the presentation is beautiful. i went to take my first few bites, and again i will try to describe this best i can in words but it is near impossible. the first bite was like the animation movie ratatouille when the man tastes the food and his whole childhood flashes before his eyes. this food is the most incredible, delicious, life changing experience i have ever had. when i tell you my soul left my body, my whole life flashed before my eyes, i will not know if i will recover from this. i’m not religious but this food felt like god himself reached down and put his hand on my heart. it feels like a warm hug from your mom. it was the most euphoric experience, every bite, every dish that came out after the other. i have never felt this way before. i could write a 5 paragraph essay, times new roman, 12 point font, SINGLE SPACED not even double spaced on how this food made me feel. i am a changed woman after this. long story short- may the owner of this restaurant be blessed and all the staff and every person who eats here live a long, happy, healthy and peaceful life. the best indian food i have EVER had, i would fly back from america (26 hour flight) just to eat here and fly back home. this restaurant is so underrated, no one was there when we went, not many will ever experience this but if you do, you my friend are lucky. lots of love, my heart is filled

Really good affordable curry

I had the chana masala, chapati and samosas and all were really good. Menu has a full veggie page and owners understand what vegan is.
