Amazing!

Very friendly and funny staff, super helpful and kind. Loved the food, super delicious, very good price for what you get. We got starters, mains, sides and dessert for very reasonable price and portions were big. Definitely going back!

Awesome food and service!

Really nice to have so many different vegan options. Delicious food and generous portions. The 'chicken' satay was incredible! Really friendly service and nice atmosphere - would definitely go back.

A reason to move to Glasgow

We are sitting in here right now - home is too far away to wait to say how good it is.

We had no idea what to expect and are delightfully surprised.

Value for money great, service great, everything great. It’s so nice to have a menu which has variety!

We will recommend you others and come again, maybe even move to Glasgow.

Pros: Excellent food, Value for money, Service

Great food

This is just a great place. Staff is superfriendly, and the food is excellent. We had the sharing plate as a starter, which was excellent. As a mains we had a curry and two stirfried dishes. All supertasty. Great value for money. Will be back!

Fabulous food and host!

We had a very attentive and enthusiastic host, who went through the many dishes on offer to help us decide as it all looked incredible! We ended up getting spring rolls, laksa curry and beef bulgogi.
The Chinese tea was really refreshing.

The food was delicious, made with care and fresh ingredients.

We will be back!

Pros: Lunch deal price, location

Cons: None!

Pretty disappointed

I came after hearing and reading rave reviews but probably won’t go back again. The starter sharing plate was nice enough but cost £15/16 for the two of us and I really don’t think it was worth it - there were a couple of tasty parts but other bits were a little greasy.
The mains came quickly but both were pretty cold, nothing was particularly warm and it took so long to get the ladies attention who was serving everyone as well. It wasn’t too busy when we went and I know they are new so we will maybe try again one day.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Luke warm food, Expensive

Fully vegan menu with a large variety of East Asian dishes.

Between 3 of us we had; spring rolls, sesame and seaweed crunch, miso soup, laksa curry, katsu curry and a bibimbap. Food very quick to arrive.
Very nice little place with a calm peaceful philosophy. Generous hearty portions for a £9 2 course lunch. Well thought out meals, very generous with the tofu, seitan, wild mushrooms, dumplings etc.
Super friendly service, front of house never let our water glasses go empty.

Pros: Fully vegan menu

Wonderful lunch, great price and great service

We had the bibimbap and the laksa curry soup and both were great! Fresh, tasty and a lovely, big portion. Great prices on the new lunch menu.
The woman who served us was so friendly, helpful and funny. Great place!

Happy happy

My 2nd visit, this time for dinner, with a non-vegan friend. The food was excellent - I had king prawn, and my friend had duck. His starter (mushroom) and my sweet (cheesecake) were also really good. We were attentively and kindly looked after. A lovely pre-theatre experience. I don’t think it has converted my friend to a vegan diet, but he was certainly very impressed.

Pros: Food tasty and well presented, Friendly staff.

Perfect!

This small restaurant offers a large range of asian food. From curries to Bibimbap - everything we ate was extremely good and the staff is heartwarmingly friendly.

Lunch takeaway

It's a nice place but I'm a bit dissapointed. I asked for the salt and chilli Tofu starter and a main with noodles, my food was for takeaway and it wasn't till I left I realised I didn't get the starter. I feel like just under £15 is crazy expensive for a main and small portion of noodles to go with it. The food was nice enough and the staff were really friendly I'm just a bit let down, maybe a miscommunication or something.

Pros: Good menu, friendly staff

Cons: Expensive, order not correct

Hi Lynn,
We apologise that you did not receive the salt and chilli tofu, i believe there must have been a miscommunication. We are willing to compensate a portion of the salt and chilli tofu for you so please just pop in whenever it is convenient for you and we will take csre of the rest. Again, we do apologise for this and hope to hear back from you.

Great addition to the Glasgow vegan scene

Visited on a sunday evening, a few weeks ago. There were only us and a few other tables. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
we ordered the vegan sharer, which had 5 or so different starters along with two dips. We ordered the sizzling tofu and the mixed veg in black bean sauce with rice for our mains which we also shared. All the food was delicious, we'll definitely be back to work our way through the menu 😋💚

Pros: All vegan options, friendly staff, very clean.

Cons: Difficult to choose as so many options

Highly recommend!

The food, service and atmosphere were amazing!
I was in Glasgow for 2 days and went both days! I tried the bibimbap and it was so good I came back the next day to try more of the menu!
The service here is fantastic! Friendly and attentive staff who were willing to answer all my questions about the menu. I was concerned about the kitchen location because the restaurant next door has the same owners. The server not only showed me 2 photos of the separate kitchens but also offered to let me see the kitchen!
I can not say enough great things about my experience! I will be back anytime I'm in Glasgow!

Pros: Tasty menu, Friendly Service

Great for lunch

I visited Puti for the first time for lunch yesterday. My dad and I shared 2 Bento plates - one was sweet and sour mushroom and the other was chicken and cashew. Both were delicious, as was the roti canai with sliced banana and ice cream. The staff were very friendly and particularly good with my baby.

Pros: Friendly staff , Good value, Great menu selection

Good service, food & beverage average.

Visited for dinner.

Decor of the place is a bit strange, with an unusual selection of furniture and ornaments dotted around the place. Not a place you’d want to spend a huge amount of time.

As I said above, the service is very friendly and the staff are eager to please, which is a positive thing.

There’s no choice for wine, other than white or red - both confirmed by owner as suitable for vegans, which is good.

The food is mainly Chinese with some other East Asian influence. It’s a bit salty / greasy / fried but this is something you would expect.

The food prep was my biggest area of concern. I thought perhaps the kitchen was shared with the neighbouring non-vegan restaurant - owned by the same people. During my visit, I enquired about this and didn’t get a straight answer, so I had legitimate concerns the vegan food was being prepared in the same kitchen / fryers as the non-vegan. However, after I left a review here questioning that, the owner kindly responded and has assured me this is not the case, which is a relief (see comments below).

Always happy to see a new fully vegan place opening but overall - even though the service was great - the food and beverage wasn’t good enough to make me hurry back.

We are sorry for your unpleasant experience at Puti Vegan Cafe. We do apologise that you felt uncomfortable from the environment and surrounding of the restaurant. However, we can assure you that all the wines and beverages we sell, are vegan and vegetarian friendly. We do not share a kitchen with our sister restaurant. All customers are free to check out the environment their food is cooked in. Everything is kept and cooked separately, from the kitchen to the cutlery used. I hope this will diminish your concern.

Endofcity - why would you lie about the kitchen? I think you should remove your review. Absolutely shocking.

endofcity

@Joanne - thank you for clarifying - will edit review accordingly

@carlita - I wasn't lying - if you read the original review you will see I didn't get a straight answer on the kitchen arrangements which made me concerned / doubtful about the cooking arrangements. What vegan wouldn't want to be reassured vegan food is being prepared separately from meat products?

It was a legitimate concern I didn't get an answer to ... there's no need to be so aggressive and accuse me of lying. I understand you are annoyed but please try and see things from my point of view.

@Carlita - I think you should remove your comment. It is unfair and untrue.

Delicious Food and friendly staff!

The food is brilliant. My top 4 recommendations: schezuan tempeh in sweet & sour, Duck in plum sauce, gyoza and the Tom Yum soup. There are plenty of Chinese comfort food staples as well as many healthier options too. Being an American, I also love that they have Rootbeer. Go now, you won't be disappointed!

Excellent service on a busy Saturday evening

The opening of this venue had somehow passed us by so when we heard there was a new Chinese/Asian in town to try that was fully vegan we had to make our way. And my goodness, we were not disappointed. The lady serving us was super friendly and I can see other reviewers are also singing her praises. The food was beautiful, portions were large and I cannot recommend this enough. I've found Suissi in Partick hit&miss (either fab or meh), Lotus is purely a Chinese restaurant - their satay isn't a nutty kind. Puti has Chinese dishes but also satay, laksa and katsu curries to enjoy. Can't wait to go back now!

Pros: Fantastic food, Excellent city centre location, Vegan advertising outside

Cons: Small venue so may be busy, closes between lunch and dinner

Friendly and relaxed

This is a very welcoming and down to earth restaurant. The lady who was serving us was very friendly and gave us advise on what to order. The food was delicious. There are lots of mock meats (we had king prawn) but if you're not into that, there are tofu, tempeh and lotus flower dishes too.

Pros: Friendly, delicious, lots of choice, large portion

Cons: Mixed starter for 2 is charged per person

Great food, really friendly service

First time visiting Glasgow today and we headed straight here for lunch. Glad we chose it! Felt spoilt for choice with the menu! The lady serving us was exceptionally friendly, she gave us boiled rice on the house for my one year old to have, and advised us that the portions can be very big so often people find they're better off getting one main to share if they've had starters! Would definitely come back on visiting Glasgow again, definitely recommend.

Pros: Friendly staff, High chairs , Range of choice

Cons: No baby changing facilities

Delicious food and fantastic customer service

I ordered roti canai and nasi lemak as I was homesick for Malay food. The chili paste wasn't spicy but the (Malay) owner asked the chef to make another one w fresh chilis and it was perfect. I was so full. Portions are good. Had the jasmine goji tea which was so refreshing. Best malay food in the uk I've had so far and best of all vegan! Terima kasih

Pros: Whole menu Inc dessert is vegan! , Adjusts spiciness to your taste buds
