Excellent meal and great conversation - Edit
Apparently, it is not possible to rate restaurants five stars unless they are totally vegetarian or vegan, but the spirit behind my rating is definitely five stars.
Read moreAfter spending four days scavenging for veg options in Spain, I was so thrilled with my delicious homemade chickpea burger (with a side of fresh coleslaw) and made-to-order fruit juice at Pure Food. Rashid, the owner, believes that there is magic in food and that it is his job to find something that nourishes both your mind and soul. It feels like he did just that.
I highly recommend Pure Food in Tangier and only wish I could eat here again before I leave!

Tiny but rare find in Morocco! - Edit
Very small place serving sandwiches, burgers and fresh smoothies, not many vegan options but one of the only places in Tangier serving any vegan food at all, so it was very welcome! The owners are super friendly and passionate too

vegan friendly burger in Tangier - Edit
For 11 days I ate everyday veggie tagine, couscous, bread, olives and harira soup for lunch and dinner in different towns in Morocco, so I was so glad to come across this shop in Tangier. The owners are lovely and passionate about what they do. It’s worth it checking if the shop is still there before you go, as they are planning to move somewhere else at some point, but there’s no date set yet. When order the burger or sandwich, remind her not to put yoghurt sauce by mistake (as well as the honey in the sauce).
