Lovely view with half decent food - Edit
Sitting on the terrace in the sunshine with a pint of Punk IPA watching the boats being rowed creates a favourable atmosphere for an exaggerated review.
Read moreReality is, it’s a nice place with lovely staff and they’re trying hard with a dedicated GM menu and a dedicated vegan menu (see images). In essence, it is a chain and like Wetherspoons the food is tasty, cooked and presented well, but bog standard (never tried the tapas). If what you’re after is staple junk food with a nice pint and view then it’s the right place to be.
I had the vegan beyond cheese burger (I don’t normally) with lettuce, tomato, picked red onion, vegan smoked Gouda cheese and vegan chipotle mayo in a brioche bun with a salad and house slaw. It was cooked well, still nice and warm and tasty. The salad was more lettuce with some cold roasted peppers, cherry tomatoes and red onion. It was okay but 99% lettuce. The slaw was nice too but not much of it to offset the quantity of lettuce.
Would I come back? Maybe for a pint.
Would I recommend it? If someone wanted a burger then yes but with so many places, I’d recommend they try somewhere else.
We’ll done to the staff. Lovely people.

Awful, bland food - Edit
I was recommended here and really excited but I’ve honestly had nicer food in Wetherspoons - it was mid range prices but so clearly just microwaved and tasteless! Staff didn’t even wear uniform - if you want to create a really casual establishment that’s fine but don’t price meals at £10 - £13 as it’s misleading on quality :(

Great selection - Edit
I love the Lounges chain as the vegan menu has so many options. They also have a kids meal vegan option which is quite rare. We ate as a mixed omni/vegan group and were all happy with our food. Good service and vegan knowledge

Great menu, great location - Edit
Went out tonight as in Exeter on business. Sat outside, watching the swans on the river. Good vegan menu - I had the butternut squash burrito wrap, fries and broccoli with chilli & garlic. Burrito wrap also comes with their vegan slaw. Well impressed!

Varied Vegan Menu - Edit
Chain restaurant with separate vegan menu. Much more choice than many other places. Menu seems to change a couple of times a year.
Read morePros: Lots of choice. , Reasonable prices. , Pay at the bar or set up a tab if outside.
Cons: Vegan tapas came with bread and real butter.

Brunch - Edit
My wife loved the sweet potato waffles with avocado & black beans. The vegan cooked breakfast was good too, with mushrooms, hash browns, beans and toast. I missed having a vegan sausage on there but it was still very good. Coffees and hot chocolate can be made vegan with soy milk. I wished I’d seen the outdoor sitting area by the river but it was probably less distracting for our 18 month old being indoors.
