Super chill environment and a rotating menu that offers lots of fully vegan options. I especially enjoy the milkshakes and the yummy vegan whipped cream :)

Best chick’n sandwich ever! - Edit
My husband & I tried Project Pollo in San Antonio on a road trip & we loved it so much we had to stop in Austin on the way home to have it one more time. I had the deluxe & it is truly the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. We were hoping for the loaded fries, but unfortunately they were out of fries so we got loaded tots instead. We also got the pumpkin swirl milkshake & it was delicious!

I tried quite a few places in my few days and Austin and this was my favorite. Specifically, the Nashville Hot Chicken! I actually got it at the location at the racetrack when I visited for the Formula 1 race. So nice to have a vegan option!

So excited to finally try this vegan fast food Texas chain. Ordered the Mac and cheese and it did not disappoint at all, wow, so good! The chickn pieces were good, but the sauces made them, these were amazing 🤩 Got the birdy, the spicy garlic buffalo, and the credo ranch and we couldn’t get enough of them.

I literally always go to Project Pollo when I come back to Texas, it's so good that I think about it for days after I leave. Nashville hot chicken sandwich is the best, thank me later. Also their milkshakes are terrific too

Was excited to learn about this newish vegan fast food chain, not because I love eating fast food, but just that a vegan option of this kind exists. Based on Happy Cow reviews I chose this Anderson Lane location. You definitely know you're in a fast food joint when you step through the door, the smell of frying oil is undeniable. Service was friendly, our server Toby answered my questions about what was popular and what did he personally like to order but I decided to try the original chikn sandwich and a side of mac n cheese with a strawberry shake. Everything was great, I thought the mac n cheese would be a tiny side order but it could have almost been an entire meal by itself. I was impressed with the flavor, really quite tasty. The sandwich was great too but maybe could've used a tad more aioli for me but I thought the chikn was tasty and satisfying. The strawberry shake was delicious, I think it actually had real strawberry bits in it, my partner got the double chocolate shake and it was amazing, I would maybe get that flavor next time and try the Deluxe!

I ordered right when they opened (actually a little before) and my order was ready when i got there about 10 mins after they opened. They were so nice and the food was AMAZING. Tasted so good, it was warm, fresh, the flavors were bursting lol.

Who knew Texas had an entire chain of vegan chick’n joints?! It was so good I went twice when I was in town. The strawberry shake was delicious. The popcorn chik’n is more breading than meaty stuff, which is how I prefer it. It is already spiced, but the dipping sauce adds more great flavor. I got the chipotle ranch, and it rocked. The chik’n has a nice texture.

Came to Austin for the day and decided to get some lunch. Found this place on the app and decided to try it. I wasn’t disappointed. The food was delicious, the staff that were working were friendly and helpful and the prices aren’t crazy expensive like some places are. Who has two thumbs and would eat here again?? This guy!

Ordered: chikn ceaser wrap cooked with crispy chicken done Nashville hot style, Nashville Hot nuggets, loaded papas and tots southwest style, fountain drinks.
Read moreStaff was very friendly and helpful, they were willing to make any adjustments we wanted to make our meals how we wanted, I substituted crispy chikn for grilled chikn in my ceaser wrap and also had them cook it the Nashville hot style, and they let us also have tater tots made with the loaded southwest style also and add Nashville hot to the nuggets. The wrap was great, good sauces and a nice crunch and the Nashville hot was surprisingly hotter than expected. The Nashville hot on the nuggets made them super hot but also made it so they were not crispy because the coating had soaked up the Nashville hot rub, I recommend not having the Nashville hot on them and getting hot sauce for dipping. Both the fries and tots were good with the loaded southwest style but the tots were much crispier and what I would recommend between the two. Their fountain drink selection was nice and we all made our kamikaze mixtures, the ginger beer had a nice bite to it and I added it to the lemonade as well as the root beer. They had indoor and outdoor seating, though it was a very windy day and the winds were too strong for outdoor eating (food would blow away). I recommend to all looking for a good vegan chikn sandwich, Project Pollo is a success 🤙🏽🤙🏽

A good selection of fast food items (Mac n cheese, loaded fries etc) to go with your chikin burger. The chikin itself tastes great too. I highly recommend the red velvet shake made with Oatly soft serve. Also noticed the prices are pretty affordable and lower than most vegan places in Austin.

I didn’t even know this place was next to Dragons Lair! Or at least that it was a vegan place. The Nashville hot is DELICIOUS! I could literally eat like three of them in a row. Staff was also amazingly sweet.

First time walking into a fully vegan establishment- so for them to answer me asking “And everything is completely vegan, right?” Three times very kindly was a great start. I got the deluxe and it’s pretty authentic. Looks good, taste good, couldn’t ask for more! Definitely would come back to if in the area!

Fast food with no harm. So thrilled Project Pollo exists. I've ordered the original and the deluxe on two separate occasions. Both are fantastic. My partner orders the fried pickles which are the best I've ever had. I mean it! The batter they use for those is incredible.
