Very, VERY, good food. - Edit
Three vegans, one vegetarian, and one Omni had an awesome dinner here. Our food was neither oily or cold as reviewed by others. A small resteraunt doing its best to cater to vegans in an Omni world, doing a bloody good job in Kyoto. Highly recommend trying some of their fare.

Loved their vegan burger - Edit
I had lunch here with my gf and we both ordered vegan burgers, different types. Loved both!
I was reluctant to go here because of some reviews in here, but glad I gave it a shot!
It comes with fries and appetizers.
You get a 100 yen coupon to use at the cholocate store or the premarche gelatto store.

Not my taste - Edit
Wish I could say it was good but the food was just fair. Loved the idea of the restaurant concept though, to bring people together no matter what.

Great Pizza - Edit
We had the Korean style Kimchi pizza and the „tuna“ pizza they tasted very good and were a good portion size. The stairs to the restaurant are very steep. The plum lemonade is very sugary and a bit too sweet but was still good.

Very disappointing - Edit
We’ve been planning on visiting this place since we’ve arrived in Kyoto. However, the working hours are a bit odd and we found ourselves often passing by it when it was too early for breakfast or to early/late for lunch.
Read moreFinally we had a chance to stop by for dinner service. The reservations are not needed and you need to pass through the closed chocolate shop and climb the very narrow stairs to get to the dining area. Staff is very polite.
First we’ve ordered appetizer (chips and hummus) and drinks. Chips plate arrived soon and here we noticed the recurring pattern for the rest of the evening - it was very oily, greasy.
For the main part of the meal we ordered pizza Margherita and vegan avocado tropico burger. We were quite surprised when my fiancee got his pizza 10mins earlier than my burger arrived - by the time I’ve gotten burger, pizza was already cold. By the looks of it, it looked as frozen pizza fresh out of the microwave and iz was smaller than expected. Burger was very good tastewise despite the crumbly vegan patty. Everything mentioned above was very greasy, especially the fries.
We’ve also ordered cheesecake for dessert, but we’ve waited almost 30mins after finishing our main course for it so we decided to ask them to pack it for takeout. We ate it later in our hotel room and it was tasty, but the piece was very small.
Also, promoting yourself as “rebels for the planet” when serving beef rubbed us the wrong way. It all seemed like a very planned facade to cater mediocre food to vegan tourists.
Pros: Lots of options, Polite staff
Cons: Too expensive for the quality of food, Greasy food, unsynched food serving, “replace vegan patty with 100% beef patty”

chill restaurant with a variety of options - Edit
I really liked that I didn't have to queue for this restaurant. It was a bit odd to walk through the closed chocolateria to get there but signage is clear, and when I arrived the restaurant was nearly empty around 7pm but started to fill up with time. The menu has a variety of options, mostly burgers, pizza, or rice bowls. Mostly vegetarian (some fish on offer) and gluten free is available as well. Some slightly odd food combinations (hummus and curry on an Indian themed pizza???) but there were classics available too.
Read moreI have eaten a lot of vegan junk food in Europe/the US and I didn't feel this really lived up to those standards in terms of flavour or texture (the "meat" in the burger fell apart almost immediately). However it scratched an itch while in Japan and was a pleasant place to hang out for the evening.

Everything I've tried has been delicious but I especially liked the vegan "fish" burger. They have happy hour from 5-6:30pm with organic wines, beer, and cocktails. It has a lovely atmosphere and friendly service. I go every time I'm in Kyoto!

Best food in Kyoto - Edit
If I could I would give this place 5 stars. Every meals can be ordered as vegan or is already by default. I ate 4 different meals and they were all delicious, especially the barbarian plate. It was advertised that the taste of it will be remembered and it did

Nice food - Edit
Had a very good soy meat burger that seemed to be handmade with nuts and dates in the ingredients so not the typical vegan burger. Came with side of fries and some hummus and greens for a nice meal. Many vegan and nonvegan options.

Some of the best vegan food I’ve had in Japan! - Edit
It’s been a struggle finding delicious vegan food, this restaurant absolutely nailed it! The Japanese burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The pizza was a bit dry, but still absolutely delicious. Will absolutely be coming back

Great vegan options! - Edit
We had the burger and dessert set. I got the Golden Gym (kimchi, Korean bbq sauce) and my partner got the Indian. Both were great! The QR code makes it easy to order & know you’re getting vegan options - bun, cheese and patty. They give you an appetiser tray to start - curry hummus, Japanese pickle, a fruit drink shot and salad. The burgers come with a few fries, but the cheesecake we got was fantastic!! Strawberry sauce and whipped cream with a cinnamon granola. It was thick and rich with a light crust - best vegan cheesecake I’ve ever had.

Worth a return visit - Edit
We ate here twice while in Kyoto. The menu is primarily vegan but they are willing to add other ingredients if you’re determinedly omnivorous. I thought that was a refreshing reversal of the usual situation at restaurants. The food was good - you order via QR code and app. Access is via steep stairs, which means not everyone will be able to get in.

Excellent restaurant on the second floor - Edit
The vegan burgers were excellent, and the vegan cheesecake and chocolate cake were also very good. For one of us, the vegan burger was almost too realistic. For another of us they were the best he has ever had. And as a bonus, on the ground floor underneath the restaurant is a chocolate shop! When we visited, there was no pizza on the menu.

wanted pizza - Edit
i originally came here without checking they have a menu for lunch (until 3pm) then close, and have a menu for dinner (from 5pm) i was a little disappointed because i didn’t wanted to eat a hamburger and the other options didn’t excite me as much, i was so wrong, the burger is so so so nice, i would def come back, i ordered the pinapple avo one in my opinion one of the best i’ve tried, fealt really homemade and all flavors merged very well.
