Serves meat, vegan options available. Trendy atmosphere in the Streets of St. Charles area - reservations suggested to ensure a table. Breakfast served daily til 3pm includes a scrambled tofu entree which comes with seitan chorizo, bread, and roasted potatoes (or sub sweet potato hash). For lunch and dinner, there are seitan tacos and a portabello burger (check if can be vegan without pesto). At dinner there will also be a seasonal vegetarian offering that is usually vegan. Veg dishes are marked with "v" and "vg" but double-check to be sure. Day prices are moderate, dinner more. Pricey, but good

Seems like a classy spot, probably good for date nights; I honestly just stopped here while on a road trip, looking for a meal that was more substantial than Chipotle/Panera/other fast food on the road.

The menu has really limited vegan options, I think mostly in sides and salads. The vegan chorizo tacos are really delicious, though. 4 tacos of a decent size, fresh ingredients, and good flavors. A bit overpriced, but probably not surprising for the area it’s in. Staff were friendly and did a great job.

Great athmosphere

Went here with mostly carnivores. They had well marked menu with vegan and vegetarian options. Only 1 vegan main and hummus appetizer. But it’s nice to have even 1 option and service and athmospere were beautiful. Food was delicious.

so much oil!!!

went here for a big family gathering and had a very hard time piecing together a meal on their brunch menu that suited what i wanted. when i was able to, the food came out and i kid you not, there was a about 2 tablespoons of oil left over after i finished eating. in addition the food made me sick along with other people who ate vegan in my party. if going here and eating i would recommend putting together a meal from the sides menu. fruit, bread and sweet potato hash is what i regret not getting. over all not a good experience but one of the better places in the area for vegan food.

Pros: marked vegan options , flexible staff

Cons: little diversity in vegan offerings , very oily food , made me sick

limited options, limited flavor

I literally never send food back. I am not a picky veg eater. The tofu dish here was SO bad. It sounded great on paper but was completely bland. Boyfriend and parents both tried it and agreed. They said their food was great though so I think they just have a long way to go for veg dining. There were only a couple items I could chose from.

Beautiful restaurant though and seemed busy

Pros: ambiance

Cons: flavor, limited options

Best Place to eat in St. Charles

The vegetarian options can be limited once you cross the river from St. Louis to St. Charles county, and Prasino has been a wonderful addition to this area since opening a few years back. The atmosphere is slightly upscale, but it is still casual. They don't have a large number of vegan options, but the ones they have are really good. The seitan chorizo tacos are delicious, my husband's favorite veg tacos in the St. Louis area. I prefer the tofu scramble, which is available for brunch /lunch and comes with seitan chorizo, roasted potatoes (I get sweet potato hash), and toast (order dry). It's a great place to go for a nice night out with omnis. The drinks are good, too.
This place gets very busy on weekend nights and brunch; reservations are recommended!

Pros: Tasty veg options in St. Charles, Seitan chorizo, Good drinks
