Okish food with a cool decor - Edit
The food was rather bland but big portions. The place was super unique and I don't even like kombucha but I liked all the flavors. The owner of this place is very friendly and I would come back just because he was so friendly and interesting . It wasn't very cheap for what you got but there also wasn't many options in the immediate area.

"curry" was soggy veggies in watery broth - Edit
Super bland food, wouldn't know it was curry if it wasn't written out on the menu. Needs some sort of curry sauce. Came expecting great things and was super disappointed. Very surprised by all the positive reviews.

Super slay - Edit
I wish I took pictures of my food! The food was awesome but my favorite parts was the delicious home brewed kombucha, vegan gelato, and conversing with the owner. Unfortunately I could not catch his name but my friend and I really enjoyed his explanations regarding the food and thoughts behind it. You can really feel the love for his bar from the way he talks. Additionally the interior was really cool, fun, and great for Instagram pictures. If you’re in Kauai make sure to get the kombucha. We loved and recommend“For Her”.

Excellent kombucha, curry, and vegan gelato - Edit
While kombucha, curry, and gelato are an odd pairing, they’re all done excellently well here and still work. My partner and I ordered all three and they didn’t disappoint! There are verifies flavors of kombucha on tap to try, and the chocolate gelato hit the spot after a hot day. The owner was super helpful in explaining all the options to us.

Happy to hear Potions is opening back up with food again soon after remodeling with Covid safety practices in mind for the protection of their guests and servers. they have been serving Kombucha with call in orders to go but the food is great and i have missed the warm atmosphere while dining in. Thanks to your efforts to keep things rolling through these times when the immune boosting benefits are needed most😄

I was really excited to try this place but extremely disappointed. Apparently the chef cannot take criticism so they have stopped seasoning their food. It is up to you to use a salt, pepper, or cayenne shaker to season your own food. Good luck!

love! - Edit
Loved this place the moment I walked in! At first I was a little overwhelmed with all the options, as it’s set up a little different than a typical juice/kombucha shop. As a kombucha fan, this place was right up my alley. There’s a base kombucha that you can mix in other tea flavors with, or they have a few different fresh kombuchas on tap to choose from. I got the chocolate pepper with chocolate vegan ice cream as a kombucha float and yuuuuum!!! I couldn’t help myself and also got a 32oz jar of the dandelion kombucha from the tap to go for later. Hoping to go back and try other flavors.

Vegan/Vegetarian Gem - Edit
We were told about this place by a local coffeeshop owner and we were so pleased!!! This was our first time trying Kambucha and it was mind-blowing!! They have vegan and vegetarian options but menu is pretty limited. They tend to run out of certain dishes and they may not return. The food was delicious!!!! The environment was small, quaint, yet cozy. We'll definitely be back!!!

Wonderful food, huge portions and good prices. - Edit
This place has wonderful food and great owners. The saag paneer and vegetable korma were my favorite. The portions are large and the prices are not. The food is ready to eat there or to take to go. They had good choices of both vegetarian and vegan. dishes. They had four kinds of kombucha and they let me taste them all before choosing. I usually am not a big fan of kombucha because I think it tastes vinegary but theirs did not. It is the best I have ever tasted. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends. I will be coming back many times to this restaurant in the future I am sure!

great kombucha! wish I'd known they had food! - Edit
This was a great little spot on Kauai! So glad I sought it out based on its review already on here. The service was amazing and the kombucha was top notch! I truly believe the Ginger one helped me get over a full day of hiking Waimea Canyon! I limped in and felt great going out!

Top-notch kombucha from the heart - Edit
I randomly spotted this place while driving down Kuhio Hwy. As big kombucha lovers, we knew we had to stop in! Here's a few reasons why this was one of our favorite stops on the whole island.
Read moreFirst off, the flavors. When we were there, he had Chocolate Monkey, Ginger Ginseng, Kauai Fruit Cocktail, and Dandelion & Burdock. All were delicious but the chocolate and ginger were our favorites. Chocolate kombucha... so rare and wonderful!
Second, the price. $4 for a freshly made pint of kombucha? Such an amazing deal. Everything on Kauai is so expensive, and to have freshly made kombucha on the island that was even cheaper than what we get in LA.
Third, Gadhai, the owner and brewer of the delicious kombuchas, is a pleasure to talk to. He sat down with us and had some kombucha himself, and we talked about veganism, hare krishna, and the island of Kauai. He's super funny and personable, and his wife owns the Gopals Creperie joint down the street (vegan-friendly and all vegetarian creperie). Gadhai is from England so it was fun to talk about that, too.
They don't have any food there, but all the kombucha is fully vegan, and the place next door has vegan-friendly options for Indian food. If you're vegan or simply health-conscious in Kauai, definitely check this place out!
Pros: Healthy, Delicious, Inexpensive
