Great food - Edit
They have a large selection of items including milk shakes. Had the bananas foster shake and it was AWESOME. Spicy chicken burger was pretty good. Removed the cheese and it was even better.

Vegan fast food - Edit
Located in Whole Foods, this is a convenient dinner on the go. I had the patty melt (limited run), chili cheese fries, and a shake. The shake was amazing. I’d get it a hundred times over. I thought the chili on the fries was too sweet, it definitely wasn’t spicy. It wasn’t for me, but the flavor itself was good and I’m sure others would like it. The burger was standard beyond burger and tasted great. I’d eat here anytime in in town and looking for a quick, guaranteed vegan meal.

Go to “no time to cook” meal - Edit
We hit up PLNT burger pretty often. Though their discounts on the app have gotten worse over the past couple years, you can still get some decent money off. My favorites are the steakhouse burger. I’m also a decent fan of the meati which is the chicken (though I’m partial because my cousin works for the company)

Unfortunate changes - Edit
This is a tiny food stand near the deli in the very crowded Jenkintown Whole Foods.
Read moreSo I was very excited about PLNT burger when I first tried it. Since then, they have removed the oyster mushroom sandwiches from the menu (chik'n funguy). I understand why - it is much harder to source and prep fresh oyster mushrooms than frozen chicken patties, but that unique sandwich was what kept me going back along with the soft serve and bloomies.
The soft serve is pretty good - if anything it is a bit too sweet, and like most vegan soft serves has a slight off flavor/aftertaste.
Now about those bloomies that are no longer offered - tiny blooming onions that were a revelation. Incredibly delicious. Then they switched to onion petals, which were okay, and now they're gone. So sad. Again, it's probably because of the prep involved. They have very little work space and I'm sure they're having staffing issues like everyone else. By the way, the staff was super nice during my last visit.
The other thing that's disappointing about PLNT burger is that only Beyond Burger patties are offered, and I find them to be inedible, which is why I'm so bummed about the other menu changes.
The fish sandwich they added is pretty good, but I didn't like fishy flavors even before being vegan so I generally don't order it.
It's unfortunate that both this brand and HipCity Veg are getting worse over time. Costs, sourcing, staffing, etc are probably factoring heavily in when trying to develop a successful chain and the food suffers. I hope they keep the soft serve, and in spite of my criticism, I still hope they open one in NJ.
Pros: Soft serve
Cons: Beyond Burger only, Removed the best, unique items from the menu

Awesome cravings option - Edit
So cool they opened this place in wholefoods. Does get really busy at times so I would recommend ordering ahead or order as soon as you go into whole foods and then do some shopping. The food is so great when you are really hungry and want something satisfying. Also they have softserve oat based icecream and shakes which is super yummy I like to just get that for a treat sometimes.

Best vegan “fast food” in the area - Edit
Ok so, I only had the chicken nuggets and breakfast sandwich but let me tell you, this is the best vegan “fast food” I’ve experienced out here in the philly suburbs. It made me so happy to have a breakfast sandwich again after 9 years vegan. On par with hipcityveg. I will be returning soon to try the burger, chicken sandwich and fries.

delicious burger - Edit
got the mushroom BBQ bacon burger. It was delicious. As someone else said, maybe not the healthiest. They did have a salad that looked really good, but went with the burger. It's an occasional treat. They also had a fish sandwich special that looked really good.

Vegan food in Jenkintown!!!! - Edit
Plnt Burger opened up recently in Jenkintown (located inside Whole Foods). I had visited other Plnt Burger locations in the past, and the food is always good. Might not be everyones cup of tea, its not the healthiest food, but its perfect for a nice treat every now and then! Very happy to have more vegan options in the area!
