Great lunch option

Everything plant based on the menu. The mushroom dip and falafel bahn mi are fantastic. They now have plant based macarons too. Pay attention though, only a handful of the flavors are vegan (they are marked and usually in the top two rows).

Tasty Macarons!

Planted by La Tour Cafe is a branch of the popular “Ba Le” French-Vietnamese inspired chain here in Hawai’i! They switched their Aina Haina location to feature fully vegetarian/vegan options with the exception of their macarons which is so cool! Cannot give full five-stars as I only tried their vegan macaron but will be back to try their other dishes!

Pros: Macarons!, Parking accessibility, Menu variety

Excellent plant based sandwiches

Excellent plant based food! I had the falafel bahn mi and my friend had the mushroom dip. We also had the chee-mui-ade. All of it was so good. The bread was fresh and soft. The falafel flavorful. The lemonade was so yummy! I'll be back.

Pros: Mostly plant based , Quick and easy to order , Tables outside

Cons: Only one flavor of vegan macaron, No shade outside

Vegan Cafe with American and Asian Options.

It's a cafe good for lunch or dinner. The food tastes great. Frech vegan pastries are the best on Oahu. Vegan Vietnamese and American comfort food. Creative salads. Wide aelection of island style drinks. Generous indoor dining space with outdoor seating as well. Local owners. Easy parking and access. Your carnivore friends will be fine with it.

Pros: Almost 100% plant based. , Great vegan pastry and macaroons , Reasonable pricing

Cons: Some macaroons have dairy (labeled)

Delicious!

Great vegan sandwiches! We had the Mushroom Dip and the Falafel Bahn Mi which were both delicious. We will definitely be frequenting Planted. Also, we were told that another location will be opening soon “at Ward”. I am guessing this means Ward Center in Kaka’ako.

Vegan Burger, Fries, Pastries

Love them all! The flavor in the burger makes it stand out against most— I typically get tired of burgers often being an only option when I’m out, but this is tasty. Brussels sprouts are okay, fries are consistently good, pastries are very good. So happy to have an option out this way that’s open later than their neighbor (who I looove) Leahi Health.

Cute Cafe

We love that they finally have some vegan options at this popular spot! It’s always tough to find vegan macarons so this was a happy surprise. We tried the meatball sub which was very good but something you could easily make at home. We also got the chicken tenders and garlic fries. I wouldn’t recommend the garlic fries, they weren’t bad just not worth the $$. A lot of their menu items felt reproducible at home, but I was still happy with the selection and hope they expand their menu a bit.

Recommend: Vegan Banh Mi, Vanilla Vegan Macaron
