Overpriced Plant Based Shops - Edit
They had a bag of gardein tendies, some nut milks, lots of glamour vitamins, agave, nooch and a bunch of other greensploitation items that any veteran vegan or newbie can totally live without. Wouldn't be able to do a proper shopping here, just a bunch of marked-up specialty stuff. The one thing I came in seeking was "salsa picante" and as I asked, the attendant recoiled with fear and turned into a bat and flew away because that's how terrified Chileans seem to be of spicy food. Poor guy, hope he can flap his way home!

Variedad de productos - Edit
Muchísimos productos veganos nacionales e importados, de marcas reconocidas. Los precios son altos en relación a otros locales en Santiago. Este local en particular cuenta con unas mesas para consumir sus productos en vitrina

Expensive - Edit
Everything is vegan here but actually is a pretty expensive place, also the personal doesn't have an idea of the products that they sell.
Read moreYou can find the same products in other stores; the prices here are completely overrated.
Pros: Nice decoration, books
Cons: EXPENSIVE, few knowledge of products

Tiny place - Edit
Hoping to find some travel food here before heading to Easter Island but was surprised by the small store size and the limited selection. I guess if you live here they may serve your needs better.

Friendly staff, small but great selection and healthy vegan food - Edit
I've been to the restaurant at Antonio Varra as well as one of the shops on Merced. A friend works at both locales and while that may make me biased about the service, all the workers of Planta Maestra are rad Chileans as far as I've experienced.
Read moreThe menu del dia should be cheaper on weekends and I'd say just to order from the other options if you don't want to throw down 6500 pesos. Oh and their desserts are really amazing :)

Grab a sandwich to go and try canary grass milk - Edit
Planta Maestra Manuel Montt provides many vegan products you wouldn't find elsewhere easily. Apart from vegetable milk, a variety of seeds and plenty of nut and soy bars there is tofu in the fridge and there are mock meats (burgers, sausages) in the freezer. You find good quality juices, wholegrain pasta, plenty of oils and sauces, too.
Read moreApproximately between midday and evening they offer a lunch menu as well (haven't seen all of Planta Maestra branches in town do that). Moreover you can get a vegan burrito or empanada or sandwich (warmed over or cold for take-away). At last quinoa bread and muffins and stuff like that.
Very friendly employees!
Some products (mainly the imported ones) are quite expenisve.
Their fresh food is pretty affordable though, and good, too.
I discovered there canary grass milk, so awesome!
Opening hours are outstanding. However, I have been there twice at about 9:30 am on weekdays and it wasn't open yet. So either the hours added here are not accurate or the staffers don't care that much about them. Open till late though.
They don't sell fresh fruits and vegetables anymore (as of summer 2016); fresh fruit juices were out at least few times (evening).

Pros: open till late, good range of products, friendly and helpful

Excellent Selection! - Edit
They have an excellent selection of produce- fruits, veggies and fresh produce. They also have a great variety of other vegan items. We were excited to find vegan mayonaise, tofu and as a special treat- vegan dulce de soya leche plus the caramelized version as well. The staff were welcoming, making the store a great atmosphere. You can also stop there for a ready made snack- vegan empandads!
