Niagara's sustainable plant-based kitchen

Wonderful selection of vegan food and drinks offering take out, dine-in in a rustic setting or even frozen meals. Generously sized and delicious meals with a no-waste policy.

Pros: Delicious food, Generous portions, Plenty of parking

Cons: Slightly outside of the hub of NOTL

Great desserts

Excellent carrot cake and key lime pie. Cheese cake was not too bad but I’ve had better. The ice pop was gorgeous. It’s a little off the beaten track but worth visiting. Friendly customer service, a good range of vegan foods. Outdoor and indoor seating available. Nicely decked out place even if it feels like it’s in an industrial park. Definitely worth visiting in an area where good vegan options are few and far between.

Pros: Great desserts, Good selection of foods, 100% Vegan in nice surrounds

Cons: Only served regular coffee, no lattes etc., A little out of the way. , Had better cheesecake.

Out of the way but worth the drive

We came here only expecting to pick up vegan frozen foods to take back to Ottawa but ended up getting lunch too!

We had the Mac 'n' cheeze with roasted potatoes, a peach streusel muffin and a slice of praline cheezecake. Everything was awesome!

To take home, we got a lasagna, cabbage rolls, sweet potatoes gnocchi, Jamaican patties, AND A WHOLE PRALINE CHEEZECAKE!!!

Extensive comfort food menu

While our trip to Niagara Falls. This seems to be the only place vegan. This is a restaurant that caters to local wineries vegan pastries and vegan meat and cheeses for charcuterie. They have a lot of ready to go pre meals in compostable packing. Extensive comfort food menu like chicken nuggets. Burgers. Sausage in a bun. Etc. we got the empanadas and Mac and cheese with vegan bacon. This place is really good. Sadly our hotel does not have a microwave so we didn’t take anything to go. They’re pastries , pies and cakes offerings are very good

Pros: Food is really good , Massive pastries and cakes selection, Ready to go mealS

Excellent- the reviews are accurate

First off- Niagara Falls sucks for good food…not even vegan food. If you are vegan you’re probably not impressed by IHOPs, Denny’s, steak houses and TGIFridays. So take the time and effort to go to a fantastic, innovative and creative plant based restaurant at plant no.01. This place is obviously serious because they have a purpose built restaurant vegan food company and the quality, taste and care definitely merits your effort to get here. It’s even worth the drive from Toronto!

The burger and sausages are made from their own TVP and beans…not store bought Beyond meat or impossible patties! The deserts are incredible and the decor is very modern and hip.

Only downside is the lack of cold beverage options but it’s a very minor quibble. Skip the tourist hellhole that is Niagara Falls and go to Plant No.01

Pros: Tremendously delicious , Great desserts, Good take home options

Cons: Limited menu selection , Restaurant has very limited hours, Need more beverages and apps

I can't give this place enough stars.

My wife had the empanadas and I had the gnocchi. Both were delicious. I also had a delicious low sugar lemon cookie. It is so hard to find plant based restaurants that make delicious healthy meals, not junk vegan or salads. We met the owner and her commitment to quality is reflected in the service, and the small details throughout the restaurant including the decor and finishes.

Pros: Delicious healthy vegan dishes, Great vibe

Delicious hidden gem

I only found out about Plant No. 01 through some random searching on the Happy Cow map. It’s in a location that you really wouldn’t expect a full on vegan restaurant and food service, but that makes it more exciting to have stumbled across.

We tried the Mac and cheese, the sweet potato gnocchi and some baked goods snacks. It was all really delicious. Im looking forward to going back in the next few days! From my understanding, they also have frozen meals which I would also like to try :)

You have to check this place out if you’re in the Niagara region.

Pros: All vegan!! So many delicious options, Very cute interior space to sit, Reasonably priced in my opinion

Fantastic!

Amazing food, everything is vegan, and everything is delicious. Dinner entrees and desserts are incredible (the key lime pie is worth the visit alone).

Take out meals feel like they’ve been home cooked by family.

We plan to make Plant No. 1 dinner nights a regular in our house.

Cabbage rolls, peanut butter and chocolate cookie sandwich, and key lime pie are the faves!

Delicious food at an affordable price

Very tasty food, especially the desserts and the sweet potato gnocchi is definitely worth a try, like nothing I've ever had before. The location is an amazing place as well, love all the compostable containers and minimal waste.

Pros: Good selection of options, Everything is compostable
