Had a great experience- good food and service

We came at a time when they only offered a limited menu due to covid, but the food was good and the service was great. Plus it’s always fun to visit and support vegan businesses :)

Pros: All vegan, Good service , Nice atmosphere

Cons: A bit overpriced

Wow, a vegan food mall!

As a rural vegan who cannot go to the grocery store and get everything we need let alone go to a restaurant this was certainly a treat! There are four restaurants and we were able to have food from two of them upstairs. You can eat outside or in a comfortable restaurant.

Pros: Completely Vegan

This was amazing

I spent a long time looking into where I wanted to eat during a recent trip to New England and I am SOOOOO happy this place was open and had available seating (writing this during the pandemic). The staff was awesome, the food was incredible. Will DEFINITELY be going back.

Pros: Completely Vegan, Creative Food and Drinks, Fun Location

Cons: A Bit Pricy , Long Wait Times Without A Reservation

Recently discovered this place at RI vegfest. Have only tried a couple of things but everything looked amazing! Nachos are delicious and I also had breakfast sandwich from market which was so good!

Tasty

Good concept with the various menus/restaurants available. Upstairs seated with bar vs downstairs is more casual. Pricey and the same sides/salad items showed up on both upstairs menus, so why bother with two menus.

Pros: Cool concept, Fun space

Cons: Pricey, Somewhat confusing

Plant City, Plant Plant City!

Very excited to have Planty City less than an hour away from me. The building is beautiful inside and out. They have a great market downstairs that has a lot of local vegan groceries that are usually hard to find. Of the 4 restaurants I have only tried Bar Verde so far. The decor was pleasant and the staff very friendly. I had the mushroom and onion quesadilla and thought it was fantastic! Crispy outside, deliciously cheezy and flavorful on the inside. My boyfriend had the spicy cauliflower enchilidas and enjoyed them, just found the portion size was much smaller than my quesadilla. We had the plantain chips on the side which were wonderfully crispy and served with some great sauces. I can't wait to come back and try Double Zero and Make Out

UPDATE: Went back to celebrate Valentines Day at Double Zero and had to up my review to five stars. Great beer on tap, fantastic pizza and mind blowing pasta!

Favorite vegan restaurant!

I love Plant City and even though it’s a hike for me, it’s my favorite vegan restaurant. It’s four restaurants and a coffee shop all on one property. The restaurants are Double Zero (Italian), Bar Verde (Mexican), New Burger (American), and Make Out (take out or dine in made to order grain bowls). Double Zero is my favorite, but there’s no risk in trying all the restaurants because the entire property is vegan. Most ingredients are locally sourced, and they recycle and compost to divert trash from landfills. Service is also always exceptional.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Vegan beer, wine, and cocktails, Staff is accommodating to allergies

Cons: Kind of expensive

100% Plant Based Food!

Recommended by a Brown student during a campus tour, it did not disappoint! Three restaurants in one location

Pros: All vegan options. pizza and not-pizza @ Italian , Flavors rich and unique , Great wine list

Cons: The Mexican & American menu are diff sections , So if your party wants different flavors, You can’t order off the different menus

Tasty

Had a wonderful meal tonight. The kale salad with nori was delicious and pizza with squash hit the spot. At someone’s suggestion I substituted the rice cheese for the cashew cheese. I had to update this blurb as I went back three more times to Plant City. It was just that good. I had a bowl that was delicious and filled with savory vegetables; several vegan croissants; a bowl of coconut based yogurt with granola and blueberries bagel with amazing cashew cream cheese; a delicious Mexican brunch dish with a special with kidney beans and butternut cheese/sauce and cotja vegan cheese that was so tasty and the capers sandwich which I ate for dinner on the plane. You can eat at one of the three restaurants within the one big one, or order off any of the menus at this one counter which is what I did. The make your own bowl/sandwich menu is in another area. I wish I lived closer!!

Sophisticated elegance

It’s so nice to find a really nice vegan dinner restaurant! My omni foodie husband even raves about Bar Verde (the only Plant City restaurant we’ve tried so far... alas.)

We had wild mushroom carnitas, elote, farro chorizo, hearts of palm ceviche (listed in order of how much we enjoyed them), followed by apple cobbler topped with caramel-drizzled ice cream. Oh my heavens!!

The flavors were so delicious - sophisticated and perfectly executed in just-right portions in a beautiful, comfortably elegant atmosphere with attentive and friendly service (Mario has a great sense of hospitality and took great care of us, including asking about any allergies as soon as we were seated).

Pros: Delicious vegan options - all worth trying , Date night-worthy beautiful atmosphere , Impeccable service

Cons: I can’t eat everything on the menu in one sitting

Its vegan

Many options, many are a bit strange but if you ask for substitutions theyll listen and do what they can. I ordered a burrito but keep in mind they serve their burrito as an enchilada. I asked for no avocado in it. Something happened in the kitchen and my order was maybe 20 minutes later than the rest of the table. When it arrived they had ignored my various requests and also included the avocado inside. Also Beet ketchup. Ill never understand it. The country’s most popular condiment and they decide beets would be better.

Pros: Many options

Cons: Careless with order , Strange menu choices , Beet ketchup only

Absolutely fave spot around!

Wow! Can’t believe we have this amazing food emporium in our backyard. I don’t think I could pick a fave between double zero and bar verde, but my fave dishes are the pastas, spicy pepp and truffle pizza, nachos, jackfruit tacos and mole burrito! Downstairs (in new burger) I loveeeee the classic and truffle burger, chili cheese fries, cobb salad and Mac and cheese and in makeout the smoothies, sandwiches, cashew ricotta toast (think it’s homemade!) and the build a bowl options are soooo good. They even have a lot of gf options at all the restaurants and bakery which is great for my brother with an allergy. Ok I’ll stop rambling, just don’t miss this place! I met someone who had driven 3 hours from NH! I don’t blame him. Oh and you’d never even know it was vegan - so bring your Omni friends!

Pros: 4 restaurants!, Friendly staff, Marketplace with options WF doesn’t have!

Awesome place

Visited this place for the first time a few weeks ago and had a delicious vegan quesadilla and street corn at Bar Verde, vegan snacks from the marketplace and an amazing cannoli for the road. I love that everything on the premises is vegan and there are SO MANY delicious options! Can’t wait to go again. I think of the cannoli and quesadilla often. My vegetarian husband really enjoyed his burrito too and looks forward to going again. Highly recommend!

average food for above average prices

I REALLY wanted to love this place. I’ve been to both of the upstairs restaurants once and I haven’t been impressed. The service is good considering they just opened but the food is lacking, especially for the high cost. I got the pesto pizza at Double Zero. It was okay, but VERY greasy.

I got the nachos and mole burrito at Bar Verde. For the fact that this is a Mexican inspired restaurant, the food is severely under spiced! And some of the rice was undercooked.

I’ll be back here eventually, but I’m going to give them a while and see if they can figure it out. Until then, you can find me at the Grange paying the same amount for mouthwatering entrees.

Pros: Mediocre food, Expensive

Cons: Lots of options , Fun atmosphere

All the pizzas

This is a combination food place with a burger place, a place to pick your own food bowl, a cafe, a Mexican place, and a pizza place.

We had a party of six at Double Zero, the pizza restaurant upstairs. We ordered six of the eight pizza choices, and they were all fantastic. Everybody enjoyed the variety of pizzas. I had tried cashew cheese and macadamia ricotta before, and now I have tried rice mozzarella. The drinks were really good as well.

I highly recommend Double Zero, and I can't wait to come back and try Bar Verde.

Great Hospitality

I’m rating Plant City 4 stars because I love the workers! Everyone is sooo friendly, welcoming, and here to literally serve you!
Although the food on the other hand, everything is a hit or miss...
The Desserts are VERY delicious I haven’t had one yet that I haven’t enjoyed.
The coffee is delicious!
The food on the make out side is very oily, I wish they didn’t cook the food in so much oil or butter !
The Italian restaurant has hit or miss items as well!
The Mexican restaurant is damn near always booked so I’ve only been once and I don’t remember what I ordered.

Pros: Everything is vegan !, 4 different restaurants !, Everyone is friendly :)

Cons: Expensive, Bar verde is always booked hours ahead , Food is too oily

Amazing!

This place is awesome! What an awesome concept! So many options in such a cool set up in a really cool area. We made our first stop at double zero which had awesome pizza, spot on with the New York location that bears the same name. This place really gave us the New York vibe in the providence setting. So excited to come back for more! 4 restaurants, a market, and a coffee/juice spot in 1 building! Bring this amazing concept to Boston Matthew Kenney!

Pros: 4 restaurants all plant based

Loved Double Zero!

I was so excited to visit Plant City and have so many choices of vegan food.

We decided to try Double Zero and it was a great experience. When we first entered Plant City we were greeted by a friendly hostess who explained how it worked. We decided to go Italian and went upstairs to Double Zero.

The room is very pretty and we were able to get a table by the window facing the river.

The server was friendly and helpful. My friend and I decided to share the pesto pizza and heirloom tomato zucchini lasagne. I wasn't expecting to be thrilled with the lasagne but it was excellent. We also loved the pizza.

I would definitely return if I find myself in Providence again.

Pros: So many choices! , Delicious food, Beautiful setting

Try this place

We've tried all 3 options here & all 3 were a success. We came w/ our kids (who eat non vegan) & step father (also non vegan). Everything was great & our non vegan family members loved everything they had. Our kids crushed it at the burger place & asked to come back again. Definitely worth trying out

Pros: Plant based

Needs a lot of improvement

I really, really, really wanted to like this place. I do not like leaving negative reviews of vegan establishments but I have to be honest. I’ve now been to both Double Zero and Bar Verde as well as the market downstairs.

At double zero, the pizza oven was backed up but they don’t delay making non-pizza dishes so it all shows up at the same time. Pasta arrives 30 minutes before pizza! We ordered Sangria which was the worst of my life, served without fruit and was sour not sweet. The potato pizza was great in theory but the potatoes were basically raw. The tiramasu had no espresso flavor.

At Bar Verde, we got ceviche and elote for starters. I’m sorry but my husband is Ecuadorian and a ceviche is not sickly sweet like this was. It should be salty and acidic. We’ve had much better vegan ceviche. We did not finish it.

The elote was raw - the corn cold and uncooked. The mayo and almond cojita cheese was fabulous.

For entrees, we got quesadillas. THEY WERE SOGGY. What?
Literally they use a liquid cheese in a tortilla. It was completely wet. Please send your chefs to have lunch at Garden Grille for a real quesadilla.

Downstairs at the bakery counter, I had a tomato basil swirl that was delicious.
