My absolute favorite - Edit
I have brought multiple non-vegans here and everyone agrees that this place is the best of the best! Some of my favorites here are the caprese sandwich, pesto pizza, and the croissants!

Okay - Edit
The best part of my visit here was the tiramisu! Don’t leave without trying it!
Read moreOther than that the food was okay. The butternut Mac and cheese wasn’t really a Mac and cheese, I think it would have been better off labeled as just a butternut cream sauce pasta. Wasn’t bad just wasn’t what I expected.
The fried chicken burger was alright too.
Huge serving sizes!
However my experience was brought down by the wait staff honestly. Our waiter outside was kind, but upon going inside the cashier held up the line for ages talking to what appeared to be one of her friends? I had a line of 5 people behind me (i was the next in line) all waiting to cash out. Then after 8 minutes it was finally my turn, and I was told there wasn’t change in the register. At that point I told her to just keep the change because I really just wanted to leave.
I’d been wanting to try Plant City for a long time and am glad I finally did, but I don’t think I’ll return.
Pros: Dish sizes
Cons: Wait staff , $$$, Confusing layout

Good pizza, mediocre fries - Edit
Wholly vegan restaurant. Got the buffalo chicken pizza and a margarita pizza. Requested no celery, but they forgot and left it on. They take food allergies pretty seriously, though. Cashew cheese was pretty good.
Read moreFries were kinda lukewarm and really could have been crispier. They have mocktails which are pretty tasty. Price was moderate.

Options and Atmosphere - Edit
This location is plentiful in options. There are multiple fully vegan restaurants inside of one building, each specializing in foods inspired from different cultures. I highly recommend stopping in for a breakfast sandwich and a cup of coffee.

House made ingredients - Edit
We ate outside at the 'New Burger' restaurant. The chili on the chili cheese fries did not taste like chili but was delicious anyway. It seemed more like really tasty baked beans to me. We got the Bianca pizza and the Buffalo Chicken pizza and both were great. The Buffalo Chicken pizza was a bit dry but was still very tasty. We'll definitely go back before leaving town to try some other dishes.
Read moreSo many vegan restaurants rely on using seitan to make tasty dishes which makes me feel like garbage after eating it, so it was nice to see that they don't use seitan at Plant City. I also really like how they make their stuff from scratch rather than using the the typical vegan ingredients that you can get anywhere. Like house made sauces and cheeses instead of using Daiya. I definitely won't complain about paying more when I am getting fresher and higher quality ingredients.

Why doesn’t every town have this? - Edit
Oh right, i’d run into all my exes here. Found the layout a little overwhelming and devoid of signage but loved the concept and having so many choices in one place.

Excellent food! - Edit
We ate pizza at one part of the top floor and Mexican at the other section. The food was simply excellent and so full of flavor. I highly recommend the buffalo tofu pizza with incredible vegan blue cheese sauce (first time I've had blue cheese since I've been vegan, and it was very convincing) and the Chile relleno had a lot going on too. We bought a lemon curd donut to take away and Miyoko's sharp cheddar from the market section (I haven't been able to find this flavor on the east coast so I was super happy). Great place!

Beautiful, great service, fully vegan - Edit
We were there early on a Friday, so there were not many people there yet. We ate outside, so burger menu it was. The place looked gorgeous inside and out, though we didn't tour more time f the inside than the route the the restroom.
Read moreThe service was impeccable and the food came out [curiously] fast. We tried one thing from 3 sections of the menu: a burger (house made- truffle burger), a sandwich (fried chicken sandwich- made with tofu) and a pizza (bianca). The burger was ok, I think next time we'll try a more traditional version with lettuce and tomato. We really enjoyed the fried chicken. The tofu was pressed nicely and the flavor combo with the cole slaw and other toppings was excellent (though messy-you will use that napkin!). The pizza had good flavor, though the broccoli rabe was a bit too flamed (it was burnt in sections) for my taste which overtook the other flavors. While I enjoy nut cheeses, I do wish overall they mixed it up a bit more and offered menu items with other styles. desserts were tasty, though, again, nut cheese heavy.
Definitely will be back the next time we're in RI to check out the stuff we missed!
Pros: Beautiful place, Great service, All vegan, thoughtfully prepared food
Cons: Heavy on the nut cheeses, Only 1 menu available when dining outdoors

Burgers are best - Edit
Fantastic to have what amounts to a high-end all-vegan food mall available in Providence!
Read moreOf the three major cuisine offerings, I think the burgers are the best. Followed by the Mexican. The pizza (Double Zero) is a bit meh for me. I found the margarita pizza to be pretty bland. And I don’t understand why a high-end pizza restaurant wouldn’t offer a side salad option.
Also, despite the restaurants all being under one roof, they seem to be run separately at some level — it is not possible for someone in your party to order, say, Italian while someone else orders Mexican.
We’ve had variable experiences with the waitstaff from pretty good to pretty awful. The latter may have colored my thinking on Double Zero.
All told, I still give this four stars and we will continue to eat there on a semi-regular basis.

They have all the options! - Edit
This place is like a small amusement park for me. They have various food offerrings and tiny shopping area and a sizeable eating area.
Read moreIt's basically a market for vegans but with a much classier atmosphere. Unfortunately, I'm not in this area often but if I were, I'm sure I would have to be a regular for a very long time before I were able to try everything. I also imagine that options will be revamped by the next time I'm here.
That said, when I was here, I ordered from New Burger and got a Kale Caesar and Mac and Cheese. I probably got the simplest items on the menu because truth be told, I had already eaten and just wanted to try stuff. So, I set myself up for failure, but it was still good and I was impressed with the portions. I can only inagine how much I would have loved everything had I actually been hungry.
My only complaint, which is mostly exclusive to people like myself who are visitors, is that their hours are too limited--you have to be in the area in the later hours of the day to get the full experience. That said, this is a pseudo complaint essentially just saying I want them to be open all the time (if it were feasible).
Pros: Good portions, So many options, Nice atmosphere
Cons: Select hours

Better organization needed - Edit
The food was delicious, but I had to eat it off the restaurant property on a bench across the street instead of at a table at the restaurant because of the confusing organization of the food hall. (They had "take out only tables" but they were in direct sunlight on a 90 plus degree day.) The venue was overstaffed with workers assigned to very small tasks.

We arrived in town and wanted something vegetarian with a view. The buffalo chicken pizza was so tasty. The BBQ burger also a delight. My husband loved the pineapple mojito. The sweet potato fries were nice, but we were a little too full! Overall a great time experience

I have never left a review until today. - Edit
I was on a roadtrip and had a mess up with my airbnb. While waiting for a place to stay, happy cow brought me to plant city. What could have been an awful night was made awesome by this restaurant. I had the most delicious truffle pizza. They have the most options I have ever seen in a vegan restaurant, it is really 3/4 restaurants in one. You can do a sit down meal or food hall style. They also have an amazing vegan market. It was so good I decided to go back for breakfast and grab some snacks to go for the plane ride today. Plant city, if you read this, please set up a location in LA, we will love you there!!!

I think Plant City is one of the most creative vegan restaurants I have ever been to. I love that it is almost food court style - you can go to so many different restaurants inside plant city. I have eaten many times on the Italian side and loved the truffle pizza. Our waiter was possibly the nicest waiter I have ever had.

My second home - Edit
Plant city for the past year has been about a weekly occurrence for me! It is so wonderful being able to not worry about what I’m ordering, knowing it is always 100% vegan. By far my favorite meal is the Tofu chikn sandwich but let’s be real... the nachos, Mac & cheese, Elotes, mushroom & onion quesadilla’s are just some more of my top favs. The whole atmosphere overall is lovely and the staff are wonderful! Love watching this place grow! Can’t forget about the coffee & pastries either!😻
