Likely permanently closed - Edit
Luckily we made it here and Vejin ramen before they closed. Vejin Ramen posted they permanently closed so we thought to return to Plant Based Tokyo which is in the same food court, but there was a sign saying the entire food court area is permanently closed. Posting this to save someone a trip. Hope they reopen, food was good.

So far so good - Edit
Inside of Food Hall Blast. The menu is kind of puzzling, just all over the place: soy lasagna, soy sea urchin gratin, soy meat twice cooked pork, etc. But, because it's where you have to order ramen for Tokyo Vegan Ramen VeJin, we went ahead and put in for the chicken skin style chips and the power salad. The chicken skin was unexpectedly SO GOOD. Perfect crisp. I'm usually not a fan of figs or fruit in salad, but with the soy protein added, cheesy bits, and condimentation it still felt healthy it was another hit. Next time I'm around I'll try more items, but so far so good.

Not the greatest but good - Edit
Plant based restaurant located near Shinjuku station.
Read moreThe concept it’s very cool and I’m happy they opened a vegan restaurant and also made Vegan ramen zone (vegan is very good) , but everytime I go there the service staff (at the cashier and also people preparing food) are always really unpleasant and not friendly at all...
Service is terrible and unprofessional staff.
The staff is really young so I guess they don’t have so much experience, but When the staff kitchen prepared the food for my friend, the girl just left the food on the counter and didn’t even say something, didn’t call us, she didn’t even gave us that thing that beep when food it’s ready. She was just mute and didn’t even ask if we need fork or spoon..
I didn’t try all the menu but the karagee it’s over cooked..
Please improve the food quality and also the staff!
Pros: All vegan menu , Many tables, Good position
Cons: Rude/unprofessional staff, The restaurant it’s surrounded by non vegan cafes

Nice vegan food in food court - Edit
This restaurant if caddy-corner to Vejin. In fact, you order at this restaurant for food at either or both restaurants. I got ramen from VeJin, but got the “chicken” chips from Plant-Based Tokyo. It came with some lemon. They were great, crispy with flavor.

At the heart of Shinjuku - Edit
It’s a food court near 5 mins on foot from the Shinjuku station. Not all stores are vegan in the court but the Plant based store is completely vegan and amazing. They serve 5 different kinds of ramen, with sides and desserts and drinks to complement. Highly recommended if you’re in Shinjuku and looking for a good place.

Great vegan option near Shinjuku station - Edit
My partner and I both got the soy meat keema curry, and it was delightful. A nice break from all of the ramen we have been eating. It was slightly over-salted, but I didn't mind. Good sized portions. We also split the soy sea urchin gratin, which was quite rich with plant based cheese. It was oily, but very flavorful.

Good food hall lunch - Edit
This is very good food hall food. I enjoyed my ramen and tasted some of the dishes from my partner’s mixed lunch set and everything was nice. It’s not the most mind-blowing food I’ve had in Tokyo (and def not the best ramen in Japan) but if you’re in the area, it’s fast with a lot of seating, and it’s great to see an all-vegan place in a food hall.
Read moreThe soy char sui is a little rubbery and the bowl of ramen is a little too big but otherwise I have no complaints! The broth was good and there were a lot of toppings which I like.

Great place to stop for lunch - Edit
We had 2 set plates with 2 options for mains. Mine had salad with a really delicious vegan cheese (comes with all options), chili eggplant, fried “chicken” and potato salad (daily special) that also had cubes of the cheese in it. The potato salad was so delicious… it was my partner’s and my favourite part. The “chicken” was super crispy and tasty. The chili eggplant was good too. Not spicy.
Read moreMy husband had the same thing, but with twice cooked pork instead of fried chicken. It was ok.
Overall, I’d say it was all pretty oily, but tasty. 4.5/5 PS, make sure you buss your dishes.
Pros: Potato salad, Cheese cubes, Fried chicken
Cons: Oily, Slow service

Solid selection of tasty vegan choices! - Edit
First off, this place was probably the easiest one to find! The description of it being in the GreenBerry's Blast! Tokyo food court made it even easier! In addition to Plant Based Tokyo, there is also a beer bar, Vejin Tokyo Vege Ramen, a pizza place and I believe one or two other non-vegan restaurants. Seating is plentiful and upstairs is table service from the same restaurants.
Read moreI ordered the 4 Types of plate, choosing (A) Fried eggplant with spicy soy meat chili sauce and (B) Soy meat fried chicken along with the rice with mixed grains&soup. There was also another bowl of something else which wasn't described on the menu.
Everything was delicious! The texture of the fried chicken could be likened to dark meat and was comparable to Korean fried chicken, batter-wise. I liked the rice with the mixed grains. It added some different textures and flavors than just plain rice. A small salad is also included on the plate. The unknown bowl's contents was also super-tasty. I want to say the black things were some time of seaweed, but I could be wrong.
This was a place we definitely wanted to return to in order to try other things on the menu. It's very conveniently located adjacent to Shinjuku Station.
Pros: Tasty, all-vegan menu!, Easy to find!, Plentiful seating!
