A lot of vegan options! - Edit
We tried to find something in Slowenia for vegans and meat-eaters, Plac pod Bocěm covered that! There a whole double page of vegan and vegetarian dishes available! Including vegan burgers, wraps and pizzas (all pizzas in the card were also available with vegan cheese!)

Pros: Vegan cheese on pizzas available, big selection of vegan dishes

Pretty good - Edit
Beautiful restaurant with good vegan choices. Tried the pad thai - it was different than a classic one but still pretty good with enough veggies and tofu. The ziva burger with bean patty was also good. Their vegan kremsnita is the best replica of the real one that i've tried so far. They also have one of the best beers Old Franz Brewery 🍻

We were here often-now not so much - Edit
We used to come here often to eat as they have various vegan options... but that was in 2020 - in the last few years the portions went all way down and prices up - for example the tofu noodles I liked.. I used to be ful after eating them - now I can go home and eat again. The other day we went for coffee to Go and they charged extra for cups (what is next - charging extra for dishwasher soap) extra for plant milk (!!!) and we took some Vegan Cream slices - they were delicious actually.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! - Edit
My colleague and I were there today and found remnants of fried octopus 🐙 in our vegan burger (Ziva) french fries. They only apologized and charged us the full price for the food and drinks. Be careful about what you get on your plate.

Amazing food, great service, friendly prices! ❤️ - Edit
I eat here very often. They are really trying to offer - always new - vegan options.
Read moreThey have salad, called 'Vita', where you get really big amount of green salad, cabbage, cherry tomatoes, balsamic dressing, walnuts, roasted tofu, sesame seeds and pumpkin seeds, all together with three pieces of freshly baked pizza bread.
They also offer:
- Pad thai with tofu;
- Pizza with vegan cheese;
- Two types of burgers: one with roasted tofu and grilled vegetables, and one with home made bean patty, vegan cheese and mayonese i think. They both come with fries and onion rings;
- Spaghetti with tomato sauce;
- Gnocchi with tomato sauce;
- Vegan mouse bites (dessert);
- Sometimes they also have vegan cakes (ask the waitress).
Restaurant also have coffee with rice milk.
Would totally recommend if you are anywhere nearby! ☺️

Simple, good, friendly and inexpensive - Edit
Plac pod Bočem (meaning "Place under Boč", Boč being a hill in Poljčane) is located in a small Slovenian town. I grew up there and knowing the area I was quite surprised to find an establishment with vegan options (not long ago it was an issue with vegetarian dishes). At the moment, there aren't many comparable establishments in the area, so you need to take a drive to Slovenska Bistrica (15 min with a car) or Rogaška Slatina (20 min with a car), or rather Celje or Maribor (both approx. 40 min away) with more vegan options (especially latter). Besides: this place has really long working hours, so the option to eat is there, almost no matter when.
Read moreAs of july 2019 the place offers vegan cheese (Violife I believe) for pizza, vegan hamburger (tofu as a patty, grilled vegetables and french fries as a sidedish), different pasta that can be veganized on request and raw cakes (which they buy from someone else, so they're not always available). But the kitchen is very friendly and helpful, so there is a possibility to order something not on the menu, which was the case with my girlfriend who ordered grilled vegetables with french fries and grated vegan cheese (she is gluten intolerant). One can also order two different vegan ice cream tastes (strawberry and mango) if I am not mistaken.
The food is very simple, but also very good, since it is fresh and well seasoned. Portions are big enough for a lunch (pizza is more than enough) and the place is inexpensive (tofu burger costs 6€, large vegan pizza costs 6,6€, grilled vegetables with french fries and vegan cheese costs around 7€).
The place is quite new, it looks modern and nice (it is also quite big and it offers a nice playground for children), you can sit inside or on the terrace. Sadly, it is not as present on the web as it could be (there aren't many photos, informations about opening times and menu available). But the staff makes up for this, since they are communicative, very friendly and helpful (we got all the information over the telephone). They know what they offer and what vegan or gluten-free means (which sadly isn't always the case).
The place itself could offer another vegan dish or two, maybe one "obligatory" vegan dish for the daily lunch options or something like that. But one way or another it is a very good start. Would recommend.
Pros: Staff is very friendly and helpful, Inexpensive, Food is simple but good
Cons: Another vegan dish or two would be welcome, Lack of info. about the place on the internet
