Fun concept and delicious pizza - Edit
This is a small and cozy pizza place where you can design your own pizza or get an already-designed one. Getting an already-designed one is no fun so of course I created my own masterpiece - and it was delicious! Would give four stars four the experience but because of their support for local organisations and charities they get a full five stars.

Love the concept and the pizza! - Edit
It seems like entering into a living room once you open the door, the atmosphere and the volunteers are lovely. The possible pizza dough and topping combinations are endless and they also offer mock meat items made of soy or seitan. Usually I don't order vegan cheeze on pizza, but I really liked their homemade version! They also offer quite a big variety of sparkling lemonades/mate etc and beer. We really enjoyed our time and our meal there.

Amazing concept and exciting experience! You can choose your own ingredients, which are presented in a periodic table. Many options, such as vegan pepperoni, salami and gyros. Pizzas are hand-made and delicious.
Read moreFurthermore, the setting is really cosy. We visited the place at a Tuesday, which means that on each table there are pencils and sheets of papers to make your own drawing.
Staff is friendly and willing to explain the concept.

The place for Pizza in Leipzig - Edit
The Pizza LAB has a nice atmosphere and a special concept. You have many options to build your own Pizza, even a sweet Pizza with chocolate and bananas is possible. The Pizza is very good. But even the big Pizza is a bit small. The prices are affordable and the atmosphere ist cozy.

Most flexible pizza system ever! - Edit
I had dinner here 2.5 years ago when it still offered a general cuisine and quite liked the food that I had. Now it´s a place specialising in pizza. I had a customised savoury pizza and a sweet one for dessert, both with spelt flour, both very tasty. I just love their flexible and customer-friendly pizza-building system and how they managed to improvise my sweet pizza when they had run out of chocolate sauce. It´s nice that you have to write down your first name on your order so it feels really personal when being served. The staff were very friendly and you could tell that they really enjoy volunteering there. A must for everybody living in or visiting Leipzig! I´ll definiitely be back on my next Leipzig visit!

Best vegan pizza so far - Edit
I am a vegan since 8 years now and my wife since 2, but we never had such a tasty vegan pizza before! The prices are very moderate; you can get a medium surprise pizza for only 6,50€. It comes with 3 different toppings and nuts/seeds (we had vegan gyros, sweet potato and spinach and sesame seeds). If you want you can also pick the toppings yourself, or choose from one of their recommended creations.
Read moreThe staff is very friendly and none of them gets paid to work there. They run the restaurant as hobby and get some help by local and international volunteers. The profit gets donated to animal rights organisations and local sustainability projects. Eventhough we're not from Leipzig, we will definitely be back, just for another bite of this!

**since the reopening in summer 2016, they are not organic and no more tuesday vokü** Pizza is still tasty and atmosphere is good. Various activities going on as well (open mic, drawing, game evening..etc) so check their facebook for up-to-date events.
Read moreYou can basically have unlimited kinds of pizza here since how it works here is that there is base with tomato sauce and homemade vegan cheese (small 3.9eur/medium 4.9eur?/large 6.9eur) and build your pizza with add-ons (0.3~1.5 each). They also have house-specials that change for base +2 euros (such as curry pizza.. etc). It is a very cozy place and all vegan and all organic (or mostly?) as well. On normal days the pizza might not be super cheap compared to take-away places but especially being organic, it is very nice price and the pizza. Most of all, the homemade cheese is very tasty! For vokü days (Tuesday) you can have random pizza and pay as you wish (donation). People working here are also very friendly. Definitely a place to visit!

We both had the surprise pizza- I asked for a gluten free base and had a cheese and broccoli pizza.
My husband had a normal base and was surprised with a cheese, baked beans and onion pizza.
Both were yummy and we had a lovely time.
Pros: v. good value for money, good atmosphere , good music (Irish???)
Cons: rough and ready area- seems safe though

I don't know where to begin since there are so many things coming together in making this an extraordinary place in the most positive way. Most important: the food, which is sooo unbelievably good! Everything is vegan, organic and freshly made. You can choose from so many options and combinations that it's hard to get tired of it with that kind of variety.
Read moreThe people who run the place keep on coming up with ideas and new stuff, not just foodwise but also in terms of events and ways to spend the evening. There is a very creative spirit and the atmosphere is relaxed, cosy and like a little hideaway. I like the openness, the mixture of people and that it's easy to get talking to other people.
Besides that I love the concept of bringing chemistry and food together in this way. The prices are very affordable, especially when one keeps in mind that everything is organic and high quality food. You really get the feeling that it's not so much about the profit and that it's a rather prosocial approach. The team is warmly, inspiring, always up for a chat + a joke and they make you feel very welcome. I'm so grateful for this place!
