Serves meat, vegan options available. International pizza restaurant chain founded 1965 with its first branch in London and has since grown to operate outlets across the UK and overseas. Created a separate vegan menu in 2018 offering choices including: starters like marinated olives and vegan dough balls, multiple varieties of pizzas (uses vegan cheese & faux meats), an al forno penne pasta, alcoholic drinks like cider and beer, fruit sorbet and carrot cake for dessert. Soya milk is available for coffee and tea. Outside of the UK the options may vary so check with your server. Open Mon-Wed 11:30-23:00, Thu-Sat 11:30-23:30, Sun 11:30-23:00.

Really tasty vegan options - Edit
There's a separate vegan menu with tasty options. An easy go to for us keeping kids and adults happy. They're quite accomodating for any requests as well.

Reliable vegan options - Edit
Pizza Express is reliable for reasonable vegan pizza. I like that they now have separate vegan menu with vegan desserts that aren't just sorbet and that they now have soya milk for hot drinks.
Read moreThe Reigate branch can get rather noisy when busy. The upstairs seating is reasonably pleasant but downstairs is a bit dark.

this was just before they released the new vegan menu (there was one pizza available).
Read morethe cheese was good, although the toppings looked fairly bland so i requested "a disgusting amount of chilli" to be put on it. there was a couple of sad looking jalepenos and the suggestion to add the chilli oil (which was basically bitter red oil with no chilli flavouring).
all the staff were really nice, but weren't able to let me know if certain doughballs/doughball dips were vegan, or anything about the drink mixers. guess this will probably come with time, especially with the introduction of more than one main vegan choice
Pros: one vegan pizza available, two vegan "sharers" (albeit sorta dull ones)
Cons: staff weren't sure on vegan cocktails, chilli, CHILLI

Great vegan pizza - Edit
I asked if I could have vegan cheese instead of goats cheese on another pizza which they kindly did and it was perfect without no issues or dramas . Really helpful staff and understood my needs.

My partner and I decided to go out on the spur of the moment and I heard someone talking about a vegan pizza (which I've been trying to find already made for ages) so we gave pizza express a go.

The Pianta pizza for main which was so nice ! Spinach and mushrooms pine kernels tomato sauce and topped with loads and loads of rocket.
For the side I had super boost!! A superfood mix of green lentils, black rice, edamame beans, red quinoa, chickpeas, cranberries, pumpkin seeds and kale with rocket, roasted red & yellow peppers, parsley I asked for olive oil instead of the dressing because they told me it was not vegan.
And for desert I had raspberry sorbet.
It was all very nice and I recommend visiting there. I was so excited just to have a pizza made for me. The waitress spoke to the chef for me to make sure everything was vegan as well so pretty good service.

Yes there is one vegan pizza on the menu - the piadina, which is cheeseless. But you could amend any of the pizzas with a very similar result. Hopefully one day they will actually offer vegan cheese.

I really enjoy visiting Pizza Express-they're really flexible with you adding or changing pizza toppings, so you can really create something you like. I enjoyed the Vegan pizza which is on the menu, and it's nice that there are a few options for appetisers/starters.
