Great Osakan Cuisine - Edit
Really great Osakan cuisine! One of the troubles of being vegan in Japan is the lack of options and as lovely as some of the other vegan restaurants we tried were, they had lots of burgers and not as much “traditional” cuisine. Having just had a tour guide tell us about all this traditional Osakan food that we couldn’t eat, we found out that pretty much all of it was served here! Can’t speak highly enough of it, so nice to not have to miss out on any of the culinary culture just because we’re vegan! Also has really friendly staff who speak great English and an easy to use online order/menu system in English!

Great Venue - Edit
This new restaurant is located right in the heart of Dotonbori, with a large interior, plenty of space to relax, free wifi, and a wide selection of Osaka's signature street-food dishes like takoyaki and yakisobi (made entirely vegan!). The staff are lovely and it couldn't be more conveniently located. Stop by if you are near Dotonbori!

05/10/24 - Edit
An oasis of calm amongst the craziness of the Osaka streets. Come and try the vegan takoyaki whilst the crowds outside queue for ages in the humidity to try the "real" thing. The yakisoba is also fantastic! Good menu, nice, modern air conditioned restaurant. Looks like they arrange special events at certain times. The large video screens showing the sights of Japan are also a nice touch. Being vegan whilst visiting Japan is hard, but places like this make the search worthwhile (thank you as always, Happy Cow).

Great surprise find! - Edit
Wasn't expecting to find a vegan place right in the middle of the Dotonburi area, so it was great to see this one! Interesting menu, with Japanese classics made vegan (and delicious)! Small dishes, very good for sharing. Friendly staff, and super easy to order using the QR code at your table. They take payment by card only.

Buono - Edit

Lifesaver for vegans in Dotonbori - Edit
We have ordered quite a bit food and the portions were big. The cafe itself was relatively empty in middle of Dotonbori so its a good escape from crowds if you need one.
Read moreEverything tasted great but the vegetable skewers were too greasy for our taste. Cutlet bowl was crunchy and satisfying to eat and had a hefty amount of rice below. Yakisoba noodles were just alright, nothing too crazy but also not bad at all. Takoyaki were creamy with a mushroom and konjac inside and was very satisfying to eat. Kimchi is also great but I would prefer it much spicier.
All in all, a great and quick service cafe, would definitely recommend.
Pros: Not too crowded and plenty of seating, Quick service
Cons: Pricey, Greasy fried food

Great way to cool down on a hot day - Edit
Decided to get a ginger ale to start to cool down. Then got a Curry with soybean meat cutlet with a salad. The salad came first. I loved the dressing and was a nice starter.
Read moreThen the curry came in. I really liked the flavors. The soybean meat was nice and crispy on the outside but a little chewy than I thought. It was okay. The curry I expected to be spicy but I didn’t taste any. Was a little sad about that.
Then I had a chocolate galette. I was loving it. Nice and cold to help combat the heat.
Pros: Tons of vegan options, Desserts as well
Cons: Expected a little spice from the curry

Great takoyaki! - Edit
First vegan restaurant I'm going to in Osaka-and Japan! Went there with my best friend who's a non-vegan and moved here a year ago, she loved it and said she wanted to come back!
Read moreWe had takoyaki, gyozas and some rice curry. I liked the rice less but I don't love rice or curry so that's really just my preference.
We also loved our drinks!
I had a gin, ginger ale, lemon made with japanese gin that was great, and my friend had a sugary alcohol free cocktail that she really loved!
Pros: Very tasty takoyaki , Free WiFi for customers , Nice staff
Cons: Orders via qr code, Toilets are a far walk away from the restaurant

Delicious food in a great place with nice staff. We heard they said to the customers that it's fully vegan. It's so nice to find such place with some vegan traditional Japanese food.

Super location for vegan restaurant - Edit
Great location in Dotonbori!
Read moreWe were seated quickly; menus are on the table but you order via QR-Code.
We got the lunch menu: yakisoba (with chicken) plus rice balls (one wrapped with seaweed; one cover is flower sea salt) plus miso soup.
The noodles were great; the salty rice ball was interesting but not bad. The miso soup wasn’t our favorite, not used to the veggies in it. :)
We also got the vegan takoyaki balls with mayonnaise. Was nice to try something new, but as we don’t know the original octopus version, it was just another dough ball for us.
Furthermore we tried the “vinegar drinks”. (We only read that name after we ordered otherwise we might have been more hesitant.) they ended up being pretty tasty Sodas. One mango flavored (Thailand) and one Tricolor one (France) with different berries.
It was so good, we wanted to come back to get some takeout. But unfortunately they don’t to that, not even for just drinks or shaved ice😒
Cons: No takeout

The food looked delicious and we ordered drinks here. For others who have a nut allergy, staff advised that all food items contain nut products. Lovely staff team who were apologetic about this.
