Gourmet falafels - Edit
Usually when I think of falafels, gormet doesn't come to mind. Not so with Pita. It seemed like the chef was looking to elevate the humble falafel and to fabulous results. The falafel pita came with a salad - check to make sure that the dressing doesn't have honey in it ahead of time. The pita was soft, warm and fluffy and the falafel balls were my favorite, the green kind! Our server, David, spoke English very well and made us want to go back again one more time before we head home.

Healthy and central - Edit
Tasty filled pitas - both the vegan mixed veg and falafel options were good. Nice to have healthy salads in big sizes too. Not outstanding and a little pricey but decent if you want something central.

Sensational falafel - Edit
Damnnnn the falafel here was unbelievably good. Certainly the best veg fare I’ve eaten in Mérida so far. Very authentic middle eastern, give it a go!

Hit the Spot - Edit
I was craving falafel and this wrap definitely cured it. The give you a pita starter and the cilantro sauce has mayonnaise (heads up), but the macha was spicy and amazing.

That's a wrap! - Edit
They have a couple different vegan or veganable wraps here. For 139 pesos, the wrap and accompanying salad were a decent deal.

Really good falafel - Edit
I had a really good falafel here!
Read moreBut the service was not great. The two waiters there both looked like they have had a rough day. Pretty close to unfriendly.
I brought my baby and asked for something she could eat. Our waiter said mashed potatoes and I said yay! I asked if it was only potatoes, no butter, milk and salt and he said "only potatoes"
It was with all of the above. Not cool.
Pros: Really good falafel
Cons: Meh service

Tasy and filling pita we also had the baba ganoush and was very nice. Could have a bit more flavour but over all a nice meal.

Best pita bread - Edit
We love this place and the two pita options. When you order the normal falafel make sure to ask for vegan dressing for the salad. Their default is a honey mustard but they have vegan dressing available standard with the vegan pita.

Goed ontbijt, maar niet speciaal - Edit
Lekkere pita omelette gegeten.

Vayan!

Exceeds expectations! - Edit
I was certainly not expecting such high quality of Mediterranean food while wandering around Merida. A real treat for vegetarians and vegans who might need a break from Mexican food. The pitas came out warm and fluffy, the hummus is homemade and delicious, and the taboule is tasty, fresh and light. Three starters were enough for a lightish lunch for two but they also do stuffed pitas and other mains.

Great little find - Edit
We wondered upon this whilst walking to the Museum of Popular Yucatan Art. There was a vegan option and most of the starters were/or can be made vegan. We had the tabule salad, the babe ghanoush and hummus (which was a huge portion) and it was enough for two of us!

Cons: a little pricey for the area
