Wonderful service - Edit
It's totally by chance I came across Pistatxo on a visit to Murcia. First of all the service is very friendly and virtually all the dishes are vegan. I went there for lunch and there is a set 4 course menu (which is really filling, so do make sure you go on an empty stomach).
Read moreThey first bring you "an aperitivo", which on my visit was a dish of (delicious!) pink houmous with carrot sticks and an ample supply of tortilla chips.
Then came a starter and a mains.
The vegan dessert was an apple pie, which to my liking was far too sweet (I normally follow a "no sugar" diet), so next time, I'll ask for something no too sweet.
Filtered water in re-usable glass bottles is included in the menu price (15€) as well as coffee or a range of teas or herbal teas.
The atmosphere is very "zen" (no loud pop music!)
They get very busy at the hour when Spanish people have lunch, i.e. around 3 pm, so it might be best to book a table in advance. If you go early, I don't think this would be necessary.

Este restaurante vegetariano, que esta en el mismo centro de Murcia, es visita obligada cada vez que venga a la región, ofrecen una variedad de platos vegetarianos y veganos (o vegetarianos veganizables) y sin gluten!!! Además, postres veganos riquísimos!!

Menú a buen precio incluso festivos y fines de semana, con muchas opciones veganas, también postres. Atención muy amable y en zona muy céntrica. Local bonito. Comida sencilla pero diferente y muy sabrosa. Volveremos.

Das Essen war Spitze. Jedes der Gerichte war sehr lecker und mir hat es an nichts gefehlt. Es musste auf einen Gang zu lang oder zu kurz gewartet werden. Das wechselnde Menü ist sehr abwechslungsreich.

La relación calidad/precio está muy bien. Tienen menú incluso en fin de semana. El menú incluye aperitivo, primero, segundo, postre, agua y café por 15,5€ (sábado)y la comida estaba muy rica. Sobretodo nos encantó la crema de melón con hierbabuena y los postres.

The best place in Murcia (and beyond) for Vegan meals - Edit
We detest faux meat and such nonsense so this is really the best place for simple vegan food. Maybe simple is the wrong term - everything here tastes most delicious, because it cooked and prepared with loving care and a delicious attention detail. In ant world city this would become a place of Vegan pilgrimage - in Murcia it is limited to the few local young vegans and few tourists - all seemingly addicted to the place. We eat here very day but Saturday and Sunday, when they are closed for lunch... Already tried many of the menu dishes and found none to be less that incredibly excellent! Look no further - if you are vegan, this is the place in Murcia! And on the days it is closed, go to Pipoca, which is no less incredible.

Best vegetarian restaurant I have ever visited - Edit
We went on a Saturday and it was incredibly busy so I would definitely recommend booking beforehand. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. There is a menu which includes 3 courses, bread, water and a coffee or tea which costs €13.50 on weekends and €12.50 on weekdays. It is incredible value for money and we also got a small aperitivo as well of homemade hummus, carrot sticks and crisps. There are plenty of vegan options and everything we tried was delicious. I would strongly recommend the chocolate brownie which is served warm!
