My favorite is their V-Supreme pizza. Their vegan optional (vegan sauce) Eggplant Fries are great!

Lovely place! - Edit
My wife and I very much enjoyed our experience here. The drinks and food were super yummy and the bartender was fantastic! We veganized the fried brussel sprouts and added some balsamic dressing for dipping. So delicious! We ordered the vegan margherita pizza and added extra veggies. Very tasty!

Good (3.5) - Edit
The pizza was great. There wasn’t a vegan pasta dish, so we asked if they could make one. It was pasta noodles, tomato sauce, basil, and vegan cheese. Nevertheless, they complied, which made my friend happy.

My experience seems unusual? - Edit
I ordered the vegan supreme. I had 5 pieces of sausage, five slices of onion, and four slices of pepper, plus three pieces of jalapeño that I paid $1.50 to add. From other photos this seems to be very unusual, and wasn’t the case for others at the table. I sadly didn’t get a pic.
Read moreThe cheese seems to be Diaya, which I hate. I would have asked the brand but our waitress was terrible (I started serving when I was 13, last when I was 32. I’m all in favor of cutting people a break. This lady was terrible) and I didn’t expect she’d know or go out of her way to find out. It has that same slimy, sticky mouthfeel.
The artichoke app was very good.
Seems like many other items could be made vegan. It would be great if they marked these as “vegan option” - like the pesto. I had no idea this didn’t have dairy in it.
Pros: A vegan section for pizza, Clearly marked vegan options in other sections
Cons: Poor service, Toppings were very scarce

All around great - Edit
There are so many more options than i think people even realize. Of course the vegan pizzas will immediately grab your attention, but there are countless other options. The Baby Artichoke app is vegan and gluten free. They make basil puree in place of classic pesto and add the cheese and pine nuts as toppings and if removes its vegan and nut free dish. The service is great and the venue is even bigger now with the outside area so spaced and beautiful.

Great pizza, good for families - Edit
There are 2 vegan pizza base options (margherita with vegan cheese and marinara without), plus lots of veggie toppings and vegan sausage. The menu is otherwise cheese-laden, and not vegan friendly. We modified a kale salad that was on special to make it vegan. We also ordered a side of fries for our kids. Service was excellent tonight. The restaurant is located right next to an awesome playground & pocket park. Perfect spot for families!

Downbound train - Edit
They got vegan cheese but somehow the pizza is worse, seems like the menu changed now it’s less authentic and more greasy😞this was one of my fav places to get vegan za and now it tastes bowling alley esq, wish they would return to the old menu ❤️ it’s clear after the renovations the authentic menu was scraped and they went for more of a bar style menu

Soy-based mozzarella now available - Edit
They have 4 vegan pizza options, two with vegan cheese. I personally was not a fan of the cheese but it was nice to see they added it. Flavor reminded me of Daiya.

Vegan pizza - Edit
They have 3 pretty good vegan pizza options. I wish they would get vegan cheese as an option. The pizza is also a little pricey, $13 - $16 if you want one of the vegan pizzas with toppings. They also have some vegan appetizers and sorbetto which is vegan. They have clearly marked vegan options and knowledgeable staff.

Not a Fan - Edit
I wasn't a huge fan of their vegan pizza, but I am pleased that they had this option! I think people should give it a try - maybe you'll like it, even if I didn't! The customer service was a little sub par, but they were busy so that might have had something to do with it. I would recommend vegans to go to pretzel and pizza creations for their pizza needs, as there are many many more options there!

Great vegan pizzas! - Edit
When a vegan friend and I needed a place to eat at 3:00 on a Monday afternoon, we were delighted to discover that Pistarro's was open and had three vegan pizzas on their standard menu. We ordered two of the ample personal sized pizzas, and split them: Carciofo with tomato sauce / artichokes / spinach / sun dried tomatoes / arugula for $14, and Verdure with pesto / caponata (eggplant) / mushrooms / shaved fennel for $13. (There is a also a basic Marinara pizza on the menu for $8.) Both of our pizzas were delicious; service was friendly and efficient. The decor is charming - with cheerful paint colors, and murals depicting Italian street scenes.

Delicious food in a friendly atmosphere - Edit
Pistarro's looks inviting from the street and ends up being just as attractive on the inside. Sparsely but tastefully decorated with large photos on the walls, a well-lit bar, and rustic tables, it also sports a central pizza oven (metal, not brick). I asked a waitress about vegan offerings, and she proudly showed me the vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free items (salads and pizzas) on the menu and was delighted to hear about Happy Cow. My Verdure vegan pizza was delicious, and not only did my waitress keep checking on me, but the cook who had put together my pizza also came by to ask how it had been. Excellent food and personable staff in a relaxing setting.
