Nice hot hand-pies

Had the veggie chipotle and the impossible onion. Both were excellent and I'd highly recommend them.

Okay food only savoury stuff vegan

The food I had was good enough (impossible beef) but I was really craving something sweet, none of which was vegan sadly!

Recommend? Yes.

This is right next to Pike's Place so it is very convenient for those walking around and shopping. There is a bit of a wait at times, but the lady working the line is such a character! She might own the place for all I know, but if she doesn't they should give her a raise.

When I went they had 2 vegan ones, veggie chipotle and potato and mushroom. I've never had a pirozhki before so this was the first time I've been introduced to one. I have no reference as to how it should or should not taste. I can only go off my personal preference. To easier explain it to "mainstream" tastes; it's like the concept of a hot pocket, Asian bao, Latin empanada, Jamaican pattie, etc.

I really enjoyed the potato and mushroom over the chipotle one. The flavors were mild. I didn't like the chipotle one as much because it has rice in a dough pocket so I felt that was just a bit too much carbs with not much of texture differences. Albeit the potato and mushroom didn't offer that much of a texture difference either, but I found the combination much better suited with the heavier dense fried dough.

These are good even when cold. I bought a couple extras for my train ride. You should definitely give them a try. There's nothing to not like about them. I do hope one day they'll have a sweet vegan one.

Fun little spot, a few labeled options

They have 2 savory options marked as vegan, and they told us they (at least then) had something sweet. We went with the chipotle one at the cashier's recommendation (other option is potato and mushroom). Unfortunately, the dough was more doughy than what looked like filo dough for the others. It was pretty tasty, and the cashier was super nice, knowledgeable, and friendly (threw in the vegan one for free).

Pros: Very helpful/friendly staff , Tasty

Cons: A little doughy

Grab & go

I tried all the vegan options they had. One was a dessert apple cinnamon roll very good and not to sweet. They also had potato & mushroom and chipotle both were amazing. I would definitely get them again!

Good piroshki !

Delicious piroshki! Small bakery with 2 vegan piroshki options. The potato and mushroom piroshki were delicious and more authentic, the chipotle piroshki was a fun twist. Both were yum! Maybe not as good as my favorite Russian Bakery ever in my old WeHo neighborhood, but still fantastic!

Great breakfast

It's always super busy, but if you go right at 8am on a weekday there's no line. Great breakfast if you work downtown, either sweet or savory.

Good pocket food

They offer 5 vegan piroshkis. 4 savory (which were marked vegan on their menu!) and 1 sweet - which was not marked, but the people behind the counter all said they had just started making it vegan. All of the vegan ones were a different combination of mushroom, onions, cabbage, and potatoes (with the exception of field roast chipotle filled one)

They are all good, but nothing amazing. The best thing about them is they keep well in a bag, so you can get a bunch to munch on throughout the day as you walk around pike place.

Pros: Knowledgeable staff , Pretty cheap , Clearly marked on menu

Cons: Nothing very flavorful

Nice snack

I had the cabbage & onion, potato & mushroom, and veggie chipotle (all 3 vegan). With the exception of the chipotle one, all 3 was mostly breading with minimal contents inside. The chipotle one includes field roast and was delicious.

Pros: Quick bite

Don’t diss the dough

A small, isolated, and hustling piroshki shop located right in the heart of Pike Place. They offer vegan combinations like cabbage and onion, mushroom and celery, and a chipotle special. The dough is surprisingly light but, very filling and portions are adequate for the price. I only tried one (vegan chipotle) for a snack: the flavor was delicious and complex for such a simple pastry.

Side note: After eating one, I browsed their website and noticed a label underneath their menu which states, “Please note all items are egg washed before baking (except the apple cinnamon roll.)”
As I didn’t confirm whether this applies to the vegan roll at the time, it may not be Vegan friendly.

Please ask Management to verify all ingredients if/when ordering!

Pros: Multiple Vegetarian options, Good Price/Portion ratio

Cons: No Seating

Super good!

My boyfriend and I got all of the vegan piroshkys, there were four flavors when we went and all were very good! Our favorite was the Chipotle filling which was a special, but usually they have three standard flavors. The dough was amazing and there's happy hour between 6-7pm when everything is $4!
