Just what we were missing! - Edit
This place was amazing! Since going veg, my husband and I have missed Asian food so much. I would dare say this is better than your meat Asian dishes. Friendly staff and delicious food. Will definitely be back!

We ate there on a Saturday afternoon, our food came out hot and quickly. It was my first visit and the waitress was very helpful and patient with my lack of knowledge of their menu. I ordered what she called “happy family”, they got the tofu to taste so close to seasoned meat even my long time vegan friend was surprised. The vegies were cooked but still crispy, which is my favorite way to cook them at home. My one critique is there was, what I’m guessing as a fake shrimp in the meal, it was limp mushy and yucky, it had the consistency of a piece of under cooked pork. Over all I’d totally eat there again.

We would eat here once a week if we could afford it. I love that I can order whatever I want and not have to worry if there are meats or meat products in anything (which is a problem at most other restaurants). The entrées are large enough to share or save for leftovers. We loved everything that we've tried so far. The family owners are very nice and helpful.
Read moreI just wish the menu descriptions were better. Several items come with things like dipping sauces and we have no idea what's in them. They're delicious but this could be an issue for those with life-threatening food allergies.
Overall, I'd recommend Pinellia to everyone, even meat eaters.

Cons: prices aren't low enough to eat there regularly, menu descriptions aren't detailed enough

Excellent food . Lots of choices. They will season spicy dishes to your liking. I will definitely be visiting again when I’m in the area. Can’t wait to try different things on the menu.

One of the best Vegan restaurants I've ever visited - Edit
This place is an absolute dream. The service is out of this world - super quick and personal. The menu is huge. Food is delicious, portions are big and reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone visiting South Bend.

Visiting the girlfriends parents for the weekend when we decided to open the app and find something local.
Read moreWe ended up selecting this place and walked in to a full dining area. Ended up ordering all sorts of appetizers and meals to try them all. When we left there was a chorus of kids wishing us a happy new year which was uplifting and smile inducing ☺️
Do not be fooled by the paper plates and red solo cups, as they just add to the experience. Will be back when we make it to town again.

This small, take-out style restaurant with all vegan Asian cuisine makes **amazing** meals. Its appearance is deceptive -- it's in a strip mall, the decor leaves a lot to be desired, and they use paper plates and plastic utensils. But the food is to die for. Everything we've had so far has been perfect: pineapple soy, orange seitan, jade mushrooms, General Tso's soy. Even the little side salad has a great dressing. The menu is HUGE so lots to choose from. And, everything is served very quickly. My new favorite South Bend restaurant -- no joke.

Huge all-vegan menu! - Edit
The co-owners (husband and wife team) were both working when we were in. We spoke with the lady quite a bit and she was very friendly. There are like four 4-person booths inside but it is more geared for carry-out. I’ve only been there once and am anxious to try some of the other options because the menu is HUGE! Lots of options from tofu to seitan, etc. etc. etc.
