Wanted to love… - Edit

My husband and I are newer vegans and have been going for whole foods more than the processed meat imitators etc, so keep that in mind as we may be too picky 😅
We ordered the vegan customized pizza easily found under the “lifestyle” category.

The first odd thing is that the base price said $10.99, which I thought was reasonable, BUT when you go under the “required” option to choose your crust, you actually don’t have a choice; there is only one option. That option is gluten free and is an upcharge of $2.99. So the base price is actually $13.98. Just being honest about it and starting from the actual base price would have made this a 4 star review instead.

The sauce was good, veggie toppings were good, fake sausage was good (nothing here stood out as outstanding, but no complaints). Unfortunately, the vegan cheese was more “goobery” (whatever that phrase by the hubs means) than we had hoped. If you’re new to this specific vegan cheese, just wanted to give a heads up on what to expect! But if you’re an old pro, this likely won’t phase you. I’d say the texture is as if melted mozzarella cheese and Alfredo sauce were morphed into one. Tasted like dairy, but texture was iiinteresting. Also—I have had vegan cheese on a pizza I liked better, so I’m not fully opposed to vegan cheese.

Finally, the crust… fairly tasty, but very hard and thin, especially hard toward the outer edges that had been overcooked. It may’ve been better had it gotten out of the oven a bit sooner.

I may return, though I’m certain the hubs won’t unless we get some stellar advice on better options to order!

Ordering process was smooth, no errors on the part of employees or computer system. Just hoping that they’ll fix their dishonest base price (unless they serve pizzas without crust and I just didn’t know :)

I reeeeally don’t like leaving less than stellar reviews, but hopefully others with better experiences will chime in with helpful reviews of what they love to get here and maybe my cautions will help others.

ALSO- Signing up on their website or App can get you 10% off your next order. This worked for us. Essentially covered tax and a bit more.
