Good veg options

Some nice veg (vegan, possibly) options, way more than you will find elsewhere in the area. Food was really good and fresh.

Pros: food was healthy and interesting

Cons: would be good if they labelled items as vegan

Great breakfast or lunch

I love this place for breakfast or lunch. Sit outside on a nice day if you can. Not a ton of selection for vegans, but everything I’ve had here is really great. I get the road race wrap with a side of tofu and the flight of pickles. They also have a fried tofu salad, and you could order most things without cheese.

Pros: The pickles, fried tofu and anything with hummus, They pickle all kinds of vegetables, Outside tables on Main St

Cons: Long wait sometimes, The vegan options are great but limited choices

Great brunch/lunch spot

This is one of my favorite brunch/lunch spots in Falmouth. It’s very cute. I always get the road race roll and I highly recommend the pickle sampler appetizer so you can try all their delicious pickles! Usually a long wait…

Pros: Cute atmosphere, The pickles!!

Cons: Don’t serve certain breakfast items after 11, Long wait

Excellent for vegetarians, OK for vegans

I was a huge fan of the Pickle Jar when I was vegetarian. It's a lovely place, the food is very good, and they were willing to make adjustments to vegetarianize whatever was on the menu.

I recently went there for the first time as a vegan, and it was OK... but not overwhelming. I suspect I got the wrong staff member - she looked at me blankly when I asked to confirm that one of the two choices was vegan (as it's not marked on the menu). I suspect she was just young and stressed. Eventually she understood what I was asking and the sandwich was alright - very fresh and nice, just sort of boring (lots of salad and some hummus rolled up in lavash bread).

I should have got the fried pickles - and so should you😄

Pros: Fresh, well-prepared, well-presented, A couple vegan options, Lots of really nice vegetarian options

Cons: Would appreciate more interesting vegan options, Wish the waiter was a little more helpful, Like a dummy, I didn't order the fried pickles

Worth the wait

You'll wait here on a summer day, particularly if it's not a beach day and people flood into town. But it's well worth it. The vegan options are somewhat limited but what I had was extraordinary. Special of the day was a melon gazpacho with jalapeno, absolutely delicious, cold and refreshing. The crispy tofu salad was a huge bed of local mixed lettuces, pea shoots, edamame, shaved carrot and house picked onions with a lemon emulsion dressing (perfectly lightly dressed), served with delicious crispy tofu that tasted cornmeal crusted. House pickled veggies and vegan baked goods available to go.

Pros: Extraordinary food, local ingredients, cool spot

Cons: You'll wait (but it's worth it)

Cute place, yummy food.

Got takeout with an omni friend. I got the crispy tofu salad which was delicious. Other options as well. They do have a shared fryer for those that are not okay with that, but options that don’t require using the fryer.

Cons: Shared fryer

Solid for breakfast/lunch

This place is very cute. They have a tofu scramble for breakfast and a few vegan lunch options. Food is fresh. During the high season the lines are absurd and you’ll wait ages for a table; when there’s a wait, it’s not really worth it for what you get, but if you can get in without a wait it’s a decent spot in a cute area.

Soooooo Good

We enjoyed a most incredible weekend lunch that included a vegan goddess special wrap (tofu- PJK Goddess dressing, lots of veggies), the Provencal soup, the pickle plate, and the fried pickles. The fried pickles ingredients are vegan, but they share a fryer with everything else. Vegan items were not indicated on the menu, but the server immediately knew all the answers to questions about vegan options, including the fried foods being in a shared fryer. The place was bustling on a Saturday in May, with a cheerful and friendly atmosphere. The food was so delicious and satisfying, and we could not have been happier with our experience. You can call ahead to add name to the wait list if you are headed over, though you can't be seated until all members of the party are present.

Pros: Excellent quality & vegan selection- just ask , Filling, satisfying, healthy, Reasonably priced, excellent atmosphere

Cons: Shared fryer, You may need to wait if you don't call ahead

Lots of very fresh, tasty vegan options!

Tofu scramble for breakfast is delicious! Browned seasoned tofu, lots of veggies and potatoes (just ask for dry toast). At lunch, don't forget a side of the House Fries. The quality and freshness of the food is outstanding. This is not a fast food place so make sure you have time to relax and enjoy.

Great vegan and vegetarian options on the Cape

We went to this place on Sunday, during a bike ride on the Shining Sea bike path. We were so pleased with the tofu salad, home made fries and all the great pickled options. Everything was super fresh. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There were a few wraps we could have had as well. Really great option for vegans like us. Take note because the Cape is NOT known for providing much for us!

Pros: Super Fresh salads , Great pickled everything! , Delish vegan options
