Good Sounding Vegan Options But Allergy & Dietary Needs Poorly Executed - Edit
Went to Piccolino with a friend and my husband. Waiter asked about allergies, so I informed him what I was allergic to. When my starter of spinach, avocado, mushroom & tomato salad was served, it had bacon on it, so it was sent back. At this point my confidence in their attention to detail went to zero. My vegan gnocchi dish had cheese on and I'm allergic to dairy, this was taken away and a replacement brought, but it was bland and a thin sauce, even a good grind of salt and pepper did not improve it. I left the broccoli side dish and let my friend eat it, as I did not trust that it was dairy free. My husband in hindsight thought his risotto was not vegan either and his pizza was tough, so he had to use a steak knife to cut it.

The other issue was the Covid precautions in place were nothing like those shown on the online video their parent company Individual Restaurants posted on Facebook. Some staff wore masks, some didn't and those that did had the masks under their nose or chin, whereas the video says all staff will wear full PPE. The place was packed like a Saturday night pre Covid 19.. luckily our table was opposite the open front door with plenty ventilation and no other tables nearby, unlike others in the restaurant.
Definitely not one I will be revisiting anytime soon.
