Best Pho - Edit
Their pho tofu is likely my favorite meal of all time. Lemongrass tofu and curry tofu are always in competition for 2nd place. Always expect a 1 hour wait. Have always been impressed with their food.

Great food - no longer buffet only take away - Edit
The food here is the same great quality that I remember from years ago! Sadly it is now only take away , the buffet no longer exists. The staff is still welcoming and helpful with the menu options

Gotta try the Lemongrass Tofu - Edit
There were so many vegan options - most entrees could be ordered with tofu or seitan (like fake duck) and sauces that don’t have fish. Very large portions and affordable! Only downside is that I’ve had long wait times (sometimes longer than mentioned by staff) and the takeout containers are non-recyclable styrofoam.
Read morePros: Lots of vegan options, Inexpensive , Large portions
Cons: Takeout only, Styrofoam containers, Long wait time

Big selection of Vegetarian Items - Edit
I have been frequenting this establishment since 2003 and always had great food and service. There are so many tofu and seitan dishes on this menu to keep coming back for more. A favorite of mine is the Lemongrass Tofu and tofu spring rolls, but I also love tomato tofu, pineapple tofu, roasted seitan and vegetarian vermicelli (Just be sure to request no fish sauce) and hot and sour pho.

Always delicious! - Edit
We’ve eaten at Pho Bihn for over 20 years and they literally are THE ONLY Memphis restaurant that is consistently delicious! My husband and I had that discussion right before the lockdown in Memphis and we’re chomping at the bits waiting to be able to return to dine. The vegetarian Pho Bihn rolls are made from scratch so you gotta get them early in the week, that’s the only downside but it never discourages us because we always return.
Read morePros: Lots of vegan options., The flavors are always spot on!, Literally the most consistently delicious food!
Cons: Tempted by all the amazing food that isn’t vegan., I miss fish sauce., Sadness when they are out of veg. rolls.

Huge Portions - Edit
This place is really really good. The lemongrass tofu is really great, as are the veggie egg rolls. They have meat options available which is why I can only give 5 stars. Great and friendly service. Speedy as well. Would return but just passed through Memphis on a road trip, if I’m ever back in the area I’ll definitely go back here.

Cons: Decor is a little sub par but not really an issue

Do Not Trust The Food! - Edit
Recently, my spouse and I traveled to Memphis for a conference. We used the Happy Cow reference to this restaurant as a place to enjoy a meal.
Read moreMy spouse took advantage of the buffet while I ordered the lemon grass tofu from the menu. It took some time to get my order (meanwhile my spouse finished and was waiting for me) and when it arrived it was piping hot, a good thing.
What made me distrustful was that fact that the tofu was pungent with fish sauce! When the waiter inquired about my hesitancy to continue eating, I mentioned the strong fish sauce flavor. He quickly (really too quickly) denied that it was used in the cooking. My red flag went up immediately. Fish sauce has a very distinct, salty flavor. It is used extensively in Asian cooking. What bothered me is that the waiter insisted that they NEVER use fish sauce in their tofu. Coulda fooled me.
I would not recommend this restaurant if you are a total vegetarian. The food cannot be trusted.
Pros: Ample servings, Reasonably priced
Cons: Not very clean, Cannot trust the ingredients

Low price, high quality pho - Edit
Of the Vietnamese restaurants in Memphis, this one is my favorite. The prices are fair and the food isn't as greasy as many of the similar places around. Supernice family-run business. They're happy to customize your dish.
Read morePho Hoa Binh lacks in decor, but once the lemongrass tofu was placed in front of me, it commanded my full attention. Amazing.

Excellent Value - Edit
Delicious tofu dishes, friendly service, though definitely a casual - almost fast food - feel to the restaurant itself. Tofu dishes could use more vegetables, but all in all a great place.

Cons: More vegetables, Ambiance
