Tiny eatery serving rice and soup. The soup menu changes daily with usually 3 or 4 options. The shop contains short tables and is situated on the canal near the Dien Bien Phu bridge. Open Mon-Sun 6:00am-9:00pm.

Excellent food, very good value - Edit
Seemed difficult to find but it's just because it's small and not obvious. When I went, no English was spoken but another customer helped with translation. Luckily as its all vegan that wouldn't have been an issue anyway. The prices are really cheap but food is lovely! I had the claypot which I'd highly recommend (best one I tried in vietnam)

Very good - Edit
The place doesn't look like much but it is a full vegan restaurant with really good food, especially Bun Hue and Banh Xeo, at a very cheap price 👍
Read moreMost of the a la carte menu was not available though and could only choose items written on the white board.
Pros: Cheap and good
Cons: Service a bit hostile

Ok place - Edit
The menu looked appealing but unfortunately a la carte dishes weren't available. And we had to choose 1 of the 4 or 5 dishes written on the white board.
Read moreI had the Bun Thai which was ok but I expected more vegetables.
However, the nice part is it seems that we got a discount as we paid less than the price written on the white board.
Cons: The staff isn't very attentive

My favourite place in HCMC. - Edit
Eat as a local. Simply my favourite place in the city. Affordable, family-owned, tasteful and cheerful staff. What else do we need? Ah yeah, many typical Vietnamese dishes. My suggestion: Com Tam. 20.000 VND.

Delicious and cheap - Edit
Our first restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City and we were not disappointed. The mushroom soup was amazing! Highly recommended! Plus, we only spent 45,000 for 2 dishes.

Very cheap and amazing cooked to order dishes - Edit
I drove here from my place in Tan Dinh D1 wanting a change from my regular, nearby cheap eatery. WELL worth the detour. Incredible food, I had the bahn beo; steamed sweet rice cakes, and hu tieu xao; stir fried rice noodles with veggies mushrooms and tofu.

come for the com tam - Edit
Since becoming a vegetarian in this city, I've definitely missed the popular rice and pork dish, com tam, and this place has satisfied that longing. The com tam here is very cheap, at 20k, and pretty delicious for a vegetarian attempt at mimicking the taste. There's a menu of other items on the wall (including noodles) though the shop tends to only have a rotating few of them available each day. If you know your Vietnamese noodles, the staff can tell you what's being served for the day. I have yet to use English here, as I don't think the staff can speak it. If you're driving by, it's a very cheap and delicious place to stop.
