Pretension Done Wrong

Given the location and the ethos here, I was more than expecting some level of pretentiousness, though I don’t think I was quite ready for the reality. There was only one vegan option on the breakfast menu, the black sesame overnight porridge, so I somewhat resignedly ordered it. When it arrived, not only was the portion size meagre (especially given the price), but it had also been spackled against one side of the bowl. It was a very odd presentation that did nothing more than highlight the fact that that there was a vacant space where more food should be. As for the taste: average. The coffee tasted ok, but was lukewarm and predictably thimble-sized. The only passable part of this rather turgid visit was the loaf that I got. However, God forbid I be allowed to enjoy in situ. Surprisingly, I won’t be back.

Great matcha latte but needs more vegan food options

The iced matcha latte was fantastic. Do note that some drinks have honey so ask the staff if you'd like to skip the honey. Soy, oat and coconut milk are available. Tried their black sesame overnight porridge which is the only vegan option right now. The flavour of black sesame wasn't prominent at all, it tasted more or cinnamon than anything else.

I'm looking forward to more vegan options here! Update: they now have a vegan and gluten free acai bowl

There is a tea room where you can check out many different types of tea and matcha powders are available for sale as well.
