Average For Price

We visited Pegaga as it is one of the only vegan places on Langkawi. The menu is varied but we only went for breakfast. The dishes are very expensive and we expected a little more for what we paid. The french toast was really good but the smoothie bowl was no different than anything we have had elsewhere. It was all so expensive that we avoided drinks too (which the waiter found funny??). Don’t think I’d return here again. They also add a 10% service charge to the bill which I don’t think is needed.

Kind people

On HC they listed close at 3pm I rushed up there and they told me the kitchen closed at 2:30pm. I told them we have nothing to eat and it was a tough walk up the hill. They offered for me to take the food out and even offer me some cold drinks. This is the kind of service I have been looking for. Langkawi is filled with kindness. Currently this is the ONLY vegan restaurant in Langkawi.

The best

Delightful place, I came back twice in one day. Loved having vegan versions of Malay dishes in the most beautiful scenery. Staff were also delightful. Couldn’t recommend more

Delicious food, fantastic view

Super happy there's a fully vegan restaurant in Langkawi.

The food was delicious and flavoursome.

Lovely setting with a fantastic view.

Do note it's open air with no air-conditioning so dress lightly.

Friendly staff.

Prices are on the high side though...

I'd still recommend it if you're visiting Langkawi.

Pros: 100% vegan, Tasty food, Gorgeous views

Cons: High prices

One of our faves

Friendly staff. Fresh and absolutely delicious food. Awesome view over the trees to the bay. Very relaxing spot and clean.
Came here twice while at Langkawi, both times the team were lovely, juices were fresh and the food was full of flavour. We had savoury dishes including nasal lemak, green curry and tempeh mushroom rendang. Highly recommend.

Recommend

Really good quality of meals and of service. The staff were all so friendly, and the meal itself was so delicious. Be warned though, expect western prices - I think it was worth the money though. #Veganuary

Pros: Nice view of the sea, Lots of options, High quality

Delicious but pricy

Super cute vegan treehouse. More pricy than other places - Mains are 32 RM .

Heerlijk vegan ontbijt!

Pros: Omgeving, Keuze, Diversiteit

Cons: Wat duurder, Even zoeken naar locatie

Expensive but worth it

We tried the rendang and the pineapple curry, plus coffees, a smoothie, and coconut & mango ice cream. Everything was good. The spiced rice is amazing! Friendly staff. Loved the view. It's a great place for a date. Worth a visit, while in Langkawi

Only fully vegan restaurant in Langkawi

Amazing vegan find in Langkawi. I had the tastiest mushroom and tempeh rending with a dragonfruit smoothie and a crispy banana french toast with coconut ice cream. Beautiful veiw of the water from where you sit and overall great relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. Fantastic service from Sahidan as well. Absolutely couldn't fault this place and wish I had found it before my last day in Langkawi!

Was a shame that it was empty when I went there (low season and recovering from lock down) because it's still pretty new. Really hope more vegans find and try this place so it can stay open!

Pros: Fully vegan, Malaysian options , Great value

Cons: None

A rare gem in Langkawi - no additives, msg, chicken fat or anything like that, all pure vegan!! Much much appreciated! Great vegan food, beautiful presentation, fresh vege juices and an amasing view. A must visit for every vegan or vegetarian on the island.

Pros: All vegan, great atmosphere, Great taste, Fresh ingredients

Heaven.

Pegaga was beautiful. I would come back to Langkawi again and again just to come here.

So peaceful, such good food, lovely service. You can also book to stay there and they have sessions going on throughout the week: yoga, massages, sound therapy etc.

Pros: So peaceful , Incredible food and totally vegan

Cons: They are not open for dinner.

A safe haven for vegans at Ambong Ambong

We booked our stay at Ambong Ambong Rainforest Retreat after we found out that the resort opened a new vegan cafe called Pegaga. 💚

Having Pegaga around truly made our vacation in Langkawi a breeze (literally due to its outdoorsy kampung house setup) and a pleasure since we could enjoy vegan breakfast, lunch and wines here without any doubts about vegan-friendliness. The friendly, knowledgeable and passionate cafe manager Shahidan will assure you of that.

And given the unique nature (no pun intended) of the hilly resort layout, guests might initially be confused about where to check-in. But fret not, if you stumble upon the cafe first after a little climb up the hill (as in our case), you can let the cafe staff know that you’re planning to check-in and they’ll hook you up with the right guys.

Even if you’re not staying at the resort, this cafe should still be on your Langkawi checklist. 🏝

Pros: Fully vegan , Relaxing and close-to-nature ambience, Super friendly and hospitable staff

Cons: Currently understaffed since it just opened

Fully vegan and have a selection of vegan wines.

Good selection of food and drinks. They serve breakfast and lunch. They are a part of the Ambong Ambong Rainforest Retreat and staying here was a good decision we made.

Pros: Very unique and healthy meals, Vegan wines, Very friendly team and helpful team.

Cons: Closes at 3pm as of now. Hope this changes.
